Just had a litter of 7 pups 6-25-2023 she did all natural and it was her first round of pups she is so damn good with them. She only leaves to go outside to do her thing other then that. I had a camera on my girl as temp is not accurate. She started digging which she never does. I came home put her in the car she soon started panting in labor. We brought her to vets progesterone says she’s reao

1) Symptoms of labor Temperature drop Cold or shiver reflex Nesting Whining/moaning Panting Moving around a lot 2) With your temperature thermometer. Every thermometer reads different because some are inaccurate. So have a base temp recorded first and you’ll know when her temp drop will happen. Good luck fellas 🙏

If u counting in Ng (Mercury) than 5.0-10.0 rising then natural or TCI. 20-25 then go with a surgical

Gotta be careful of mastitis infection or milk fever. Learn tube feeding. Way better than bottle feeding

What temp should the puppies be? How warm? Also, did you vet give you antibiotics or where did you get them? Some of ca vets are difficult and won’t give antibiotics on hand.

I use a heat lamp half hot half cold setup. Puppies know where to go whenever they feel hot or cold. The house temperature…I keep it around 70-74 degrees. CA vets are pretty stingy I heard from a lot of my folks I know over there. I get my antibiotics prescribed from my vet

What do you do if when you are weaning the puppies, and the mom comes to clean them, if she snaps a little at them, should we remove her right away or try to get her attention to us to snap out of the food drive? Does that mean she needs more food too? (Mom is a full siberian husky) @MattsKennels

If they’re weaned already then don’t even have mom. She could be snappin because she has food aggression. Some moms are like that even to their own off springs.
