For VAT customs, when providing goods value, do you need to state shipping costs to hmrc when taking in to account VAT import charges.

Yes, you can obtain an EORI number if you are a sole trader business, and have a virtual office address. EORI is used by customs to track shipments coming in and out of the EU.

Hi Shincy, There are no restrictions with imitation jewellery as such. But some materials might face restrictions. You will have to speak with a freight forwarding agent regarding this. Hello Manoj Most of the products do not need a Food License. It depends on what you are importing. Eg:- If you Import Rice over 1000kgs, then you need a Licence, but in general spices, groceries doesn't need. Hi Parul No. You can bring small quantities in your personal name. Anything under the value of £135 you will not pay duty. Or you can send them as Samples showing no value

Hello Asim As I understand, there is a Free trade between the UK and EU. So will not need customs declaration. But still would be good to check with your supplier in Poland. And your courier here in UK

Hi Khawar, At this instance I am assuming your goods will be delivered directly to your address? When the goods reach the airport, the air freight company will contact you to pay duty etc. Once it's paid, the goods will be delivered to you.

@@khawar79 That should mostly be the case. You can check with your supplier if it is getting delivered to your address and anything else you nee to do here in UK. Else I can put you in touch with my freight forwarder if you need help..

If it's under your personal name, you wouldn't need EORI number. But the supplier will have to send you the documents. Make sure you get the goods delivered to your door

Hi Sachin If you provide all paperwork to the UK customs, it should get cleared ok. However, sometimes they could choose random containers to do inspection and testing. Hope it helps
