Well, I've been doing international B2B worldwide for a very long time. Many JP businessman purchased goods from China and send to the Japan warehouse, so you might think its a Japanese product. What's more, even there's a 'Made in Japan' printed on the product, many of them are still made in China, Chinese factories only need to follow the order requirements. There's no cheap material in Japan since the country is so tiny, also not enough space to build big factories like CN, Vietnam or India. If you're gonna buy a product that is similar price or same outlook with Chinese product, be careful with your purchase.

@@leezhieng Yup - I agree 100% to this. I have been dealing with South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Mainland China, the U.S., and the U,.K. over a span of 45 years. Many sub-assembly and small goods from Japan are actually Made in China - for Japanese companies. Those Chinese manufacturers often use Japanese and/or German made machines and produce the parts that their Japanese clients want according to Japanese specified specifications. The products are shipped to Japan - only a stone's throw away - checked and then, re-shipped out from Japan. Also, many finished Japanese products these days come out of other countries than Japan itself. This KZbin blogger is subjective and biased in his evaluations and appear to be a Japanese hugger with an anti-Chinese bent. I don't like subjective reviews and comments that have a very cursory overview instead of an in-depth study. Generally love your content - but this one was quite misleading (I get the Japan-o-philia, been doing business with Japan for decades). Maybe you have a stake in the success of this platform (explaining the incentive) but - to say that only 'some' of the products might not be made in Japan lacks the integrity your content is generally known for. Most of the products appear to be sourced from China - meaning - you're effectively paying more for Chinese goods - made to Chinese standards, imported into Japan - where Japanese import duties are applied, a provision/margin for the Japanese importer is then added, not to mention a further margin for the site - and that's your price. You're paying a Japanese intermediary, for goods from China, that you could import directly at a much lower cost. Most Japanese entities don't want to engage with foreign clients - for reasons you'd likely not want to cover in your videos so as not to alienate your viewer base. There are still restaurants and businesses in Japan today with signs "Japanese only" on them. Why Japan remains off limits in many ways to the rest of the world is a topic most would rather not discuss. Without doubt - Japanese quality is second to none (or second only to Japanese quality from decades passed), however - it's far from the clear-cut utopia of ethical practices, business standards, manufacturing quality, elegantly presented here. Sourcing genuine goods from Japan - requires going there - forming lasting relationships (that require months, if not years, to cement), and above all else - demonstrating your 'worthiness' of that relationship, rather than pulling out your credit card, and a platform that offers (mostly?) Chinese made goods, under the flag of "sourced from Japan".
@mywifequitherjob Жыл бұрын
I have no stake in this company whatsoever. And you have to realize that sourcing and making great products goes way beyond just where the materials are fabricated. To say that we are paying double is grossly false. The quality control and ingenuity is what is important here. We are generalizing an entire country here, but the quality that I've experienced from Japan is just way better. They care about reliability, packaging, everything. Whereas many factories I've worked with in China just throw something in a box and QC is always a problem

Are they sending by any chance straight to FBA? "Customs clearance procedures for exports are handled by SUPER DELIVERY-arranged carriers. For imports, customers may be subject to import tariffs, additional related expenses, and procedures. Depending on the situation, customers may need to contact carriers or customs to complete the import clearance. If payment or procedures during import customs clearance are not completed, or if local customs/carriers consider the parcels invalid or undeliverable, the parcels may be held, returned, or discarded. Customers may also be responsible for any associated costs in these cases. Regarding the above, please note that SUPER DELIVERY will not be held responsible. CANADA MAKES GREAT PRODUCT SO DOES MEXICO, BUT THEY CHARGE ALMOST AS USA, A FRACTIONAL PRICE CHEAPER. JAPAN IS OFFERING GREAT QUALITY AND CONSITANCY, MY DAD LOVED JAPANESE PRODUCTS HE WAS AUDIOFILE

Back in the mid-20th century Japan was originally known for poor quality product and then they started losing respect and market share worldwide, and they changed and never went back. If they are also somehow managing to get Chinese products that live up to their standards and then resell those, then I would say it's worth it because they're doing the leg work for us. The hardest part is knowing just how terribly Chinese companies treat their employees, or their nearly or actual slave laborers.

very detailed and helpful info - Thank You! I've been thinking of starting an online business but don't want to source from China, so this video came at the right time for me.

hi! Are you planning on becoming an Amazon seller? I can help you!

Thx, I'm currently not importing products, but planning for the future. Great content, thanks a lot. And the fact that China's moral compass is kinda off these days, makes a good or even better alternative even more important.

If morals are your concern, boycott American and Israeli goods

I am no fan of Chinese products and have been to Japan. many times as well as owning a Japanese franchise. Due to the labor shortage, many products sold in Japan under Japanese brands are actually manufactured in China. I used to import salted Sakura petals, a very traditional Japanese product directly from a Japanese supplier, yet later found out it was from China. Also, I wonder if this video is sponsored by the company you introduced in your video? It is perfectly fine, but I think a disclaimer would be nice. I'm not trying to make trouble, in fact. I enjoyed and learned a lot from your video. Just to voice my comments.

san jose, great memories. I used to work for the mercury news. anyway, moved to japan back in 2001. starting an ecommerce store, copying a particular ecommerce site, which I will not name publicly. whats the protocol for contacting the suppliers directly?

Nice video, Japanese people are very meticulous, they possess a craftsmanship spirit, and some Chinese manufacturers also admire this quality. However, the cost of Japanese products is relatively higher, and many products are also manufactured by Chinese factories. But their quality control is indeed quite strict

Is China junk being sold through Japan suppliers. Do your research.
@LuckymeTV-bb7hn Жыл бұрын
Yes, because Japanese business owners strategically establish operations in China, for coast-effective production due to lower labor expenses and a longer workforce. However, they meticulously uphold Japanese quality standards through stringent oversight, ensuring that products maintain the renowned quality associated with Japanese craftsmanship. this approach allows them to capitalize on China's Economic advantages while preserving the high standards synonymous with Japanese products.
