Wow! So much. Loved visiting. I think the struggle bus must be pretty full - lots of company. I wish I could help with your kit. I store most of my charts in a tote that holds hanging files. I think there are many of us on the struggle bus - thank you for vocalizing it and letting us come along on your journey with you. All the wips are just beautiful, the book reviews excellent. Thanks to a booklist that I keep of all books read for the last ten years or so, I found the title of the other book: The Spymistress by Jennifer Chiaverini. I'm also a passenger on the struggle bus. It happened when I diverted from being a monogamous stitcher to having many things kitted up and a rotation of 4-5 projects going on. It completely overwhelmed me. I'm also a coffee snob, can't stand dark roast coffee. I do love Starbucks for their blended drinks like latte's, frappacinos though. Most of the peeps here in the US order the dark roast coffee, my taste buds think it's burnt. I tried 3 times to read Pillars of the Earth, couldn't finish it which surprises me since historical fiction is one of my favorite genres. What a nice update on your stitching and travels. Glad you got to go to the retreat with Pam & Steph. I did watch the epic video they made of their trip. Your country looks lovely and would love to visit one day. I know that stitching retreats are a big deal in the US, but seems to not be common in Europe, is that the case? Happy Holiday season to you and yours.

How lovely to see you here again. I guess the struggle bus gets a lot of us during this time of year. You had some really good times going to the US, meeting other stitchers and dutch maynia... so suddenly having nothing can be a downer. I am struggling, but was organized enough to get my presents ready in November and out on time. (I think this was the last year I am sending presents, due to the postal laws changing - If you haven't heard my PSA, I put it in a Flosstube as everything changes when sending parcels overseas or only to your neighbor country.) Stitchers who know you, know that you where in the US and at Dutch Maynia, so I suspected you might not have enough time to write and send xmas cards, and that is ok😊💜 All the best wishes for 2020! Hi Ingeborg! So great to see a video from you, even though you were definitely on the struggle bus! I'm Susan. I met you in Waynesboro during your vacation in the states. I organize all of my charts in binders using the clear sheet protectors (what we call them here in the states.) I have different binders for holidays, seasons, samplers, animals and birds, one just for Christmas, etc. That system works very well for me. I would be glad to send you some of the protectors that are available in the states but I don't know if they would fit your binders. Let me know if you want me to measure one. One thing I"m wondering is if the holes would be in the right position to fit my four-ring binders. The rings in my binder are spaced about 8 cm apart, which comes to about 3,2 inches.

Hi Ingeborg! I store my patterns in baskets or boxes with category file cards to make searching easier. Some categories are animals, birds, winter etc. and some are designer, gifts for someone, patterns for myself, etc. They stand up. Patty in MO

Dimensions are one of those wonderful providers that will send you the replacement floss if you are out of them from their kits. the only information you need is the pattern number and name.

🤗 Good to see you Ingeborg! I read a book quite some time ago about Elizabeth VanLew. “The Spymistress” by Jennifer Chiaverini (was on audio). Very interesting as I had never heard of her in history. The dedication to her of the freed slaves that her family had freed and continued to live with them and they were paid for their labor. Also how brave Elizabeth was to go into the prison holding the union soldiers and working toward helping them escape. The book was full of excitement. I have read other historical fiction books by this author and she does quite a bit of research in the writing of her books. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄

Hi, all thing i a row☺️ loved meeting you in person. Would like to try the silks 🙂 as for dimensions kit - the same floss are used in other kits as well, so you can use leftovers of other kit. Just need to check the country where the kit is made (I hear there are different countries which assemble the kits (USA, China), thus floss might differ a little). I have one kit, but it is more blues there, so might not match your to do the check with DMC. But if you write the numbers, I can look 😀

I am also feeling rushed this Christmas. I traveled at the end of October and it seems that I've not caught up with my normal schedule. Oh well, I'll just do the best I can. I know you weren't feeling well when you got back from your trip. I hope you're better now. I'm glad you were able to get to the Twin Peak stitching day. It looked like everyone had a good time. I loved seeing some of your WIPs as they are so beautiful. Did you make the project bags that your scroll rods are in? They look like they are wonderful to store your projects in. I've never seen bags so large. Most of my projects are not that large. I'm stitching Prairie Schooler February, the small sampler, today and trying to catch up on floss tube. I'm five days behind watching everyone. lol Hope you have a wonderful Christmas! I'll look forward to hearing about what you've been up to in 2020. Happy stitching!

Hello. Would it be helpful to you if I sent you a box of U.S. letter size plastic sleeves to go in your binders? I realize the holes along the edge likely will not line up with those in your binders. Perhaps you could use a hole punch there to make them fit. Or I could simply send you some binders from here in the U.S., also. What do you think? Would that get you a seat on the solution bus for your imported pattern storage problem?
