This is climate change for ya. I know its happened before, but on the scale of records, its happening much more frequently than lets say, 80 yrs ago. Its really progressing steadily. Our summers are becoming drier than normal where i live much more frequently, and places like Dubai are getting a lot cooler and moist as the yrs go by.
