Just taking a moment to appreciate the incredible voices and how he can make them all distinct. When he said "Your place" at 16:14 I got very confused when he said "It was a hundred voices, a thousand," because I was thinking umm...no. That's Tywin. That was Tywin's voice. "The voices of all the Lannisters since Lann the Clever..." okay, I guess I can see it then. "But most of all, it was his father's voice" ahh there it is

I love how you find ways to surprise me almost every chapter. If it's not the several accents and dialects you do, than it is because of a song you made up and singing whilst playing an instrument (in character!!), or because you use sound effects that seem to help with setting the vibe of the scene. I love the little and big things you put effort in. Please keep going

Ok. I listen to audio books ALL the time, and you, sir, are possibly the best I have ever heard. Is this something you did on your own? Because it is 10 times better than any voice actor on Amazon that I pay a fortune for. I'm just so mad that I just now found you and I could have had YOU for the first two books! But seriously, can we be best friends and you can just talk all day in my ear?? Man, I love your voice!! P.S. Your Qyburn sounds like a more sophisticated Stewie from Family Guy. Awesome!

Same I pay 22$ a month for audible premium plus whatever the most expensive plain is because I thought I would be able to listen to as much as I want but I got a credit for singing up and 2 each month, after that 35$ for 3 extra credits it's crazy it's like paying 20 bucks for Netflix but they only allow you to watch 2 movies a month. But yeah David is just as good if not better then many of the voice actors I heard reading on audible. I definitely prefer him over anyone else I heard reading ASOIAF. He truly does an amazing job and you can tell this was definitely a passion project for him.

@@yonirais4699...Wrong! Tv & Book Cersei loves her children more than herself. There's nothing she wouldn't do for them. Catelyn, on the other hand, doesn't love her children as a mother should as she wasted no time abandoning them & always made up all kinds of excuses when Robb would tell her to go home to her abandoned toddler & adolescent. Only tv Catelyn loves her kids, book Catelyn is selfish, conniving, cruel, dimwitted & the one responsible for the Stark's deaths & thousands of other deaths. Just sharing 👍
@DominionSorcerer2 жыл бұрын
@@maddyg2320 that is probably the single most wrong characterisation of Cersei Lannister I have ever seen. TV Cersei might have loved her children, but book Cersei loves only herself. Her love for Jaime is only because of how much the two resemble each other, that is why she seduces Lancel; he's the Dollar store Jaime. Her love for her children only goes so far as them being extensions of herself, something she _made._ As individuals she couldn't care less for them. In the meanwhile, every descriptive term you used for TV Catelyn is a perfect description for Cersei. Everything she does fucks everything up to the point of where Vaerys fully intends to let her rule without interference by capable men so she will tear the realm apart.

They do cut up dead bodies to learn how to save living bodies, in fact in our modern world were actually having a shortage of “bodies for science” so doctors are sharing bodies in school and training, and there’s a fake body you can bug to cut up instead for $75k, it cost $10-$25k to “refurbish” it so that it can used again.

"It was not him. It was never him." Does anybody know the meaning of this? Jaime comments on the weirwood stump after the dream and how it reminded him of winterfell and ned stark.
@guymann1660 Жыл бұрын
I'm a bit puzzled by that too. Maybe he's reconsidering his guilt over Ned's judgment of him. Like there's more to it.
@Reu8enofleon Жыл бұрын
It’s him calling back to Ned Stark he thought he heard in the dream. He thought Ned was there to judge him again or attack him and he lies saying “I didn’t fear you alive, I don’t fear you dead.” So when he sees the weirwood tree when he’s not dreaming and is reminded of Ned that dream fear comes back a little and he has to calm himself.
@evilsimeon Жыл бұрын
The “him” Jamie refers to is Arys. Earlier, when being called “King Slayer “, Jamie repeatedly thinks, “Arys, it always comes back to Arys”. He used Arys intent to burn Kings Landing as justification for breaking his oath. In this moment, after dreaming of being harshly judged by his fellow Kings Guard and Ned, Jamie accepted their judgement, “It was not him. It was never him”. That acceptance is what spurs him to return to Herren Hall for Brienne. It sounds good anyway.
@ivanaandric57032 ай бұрын
@@shyamiyer5060 "It was never you" refers to his realization (that came after the bath scene) that the "enemy" was never Ned Stark. It was not his judgment he feared. It was always his own guilt for choosing justice over honor that pleaged him. Even though he choose righ.. and it's made worste by the fact that nobody knows the truth hence all the insults he had to endure for 17 years.. but the worst thing is he disapointed everyone he looked up to and himself, all he belived and wanted to become as a young man. So he just completley gave up

Why Hightower doesn't have his southern accent when Tyrell still has his accent?
@georgejosephk669 Жыл бұрын
Maybe because the hightowers are from the reach, who are a part of mainstream westerosi nobilitydescending from First Men and Andal Warlords. So, they have the same accent as most of the other westerosi. But, the dornish accent have been influenced by Rhoynar immigrants of Princess Nymeria. So, there is a Dornish accent for Lewyn Martell and for at least the rest of the Salty Dornish men, if not for the entire Dorne, but not any special accent for Hightowers
