From George RR Martin's "A Storm of Swords"
If you like what you're hearing, be sure to check out my channel, where you can find all of my A Song of Ice and Fire recorded chapters in order in playlists! And leave a comment! I don't care about any youtube algorithm reach nonsense but I love hearing from people who are listening!
I am in no sense a professional reader, voice actor, or what have you. I began this audiobook project some years ago when some friends of mine jokingly said they'd read A Song of Ice and Fire (my favorite fantasy series) if I personally recorded the whole series in audiobook form and sent it to them. Having now made my way almost through the first two books in the series, I decided to join the small community of people who post their own amateur audibook readings to youtube, and share my efforts.
I have no intention of profiting off of the work that is copyrighted to George RR Martin. This upload is a tribute to a series I deeply love, and I strongly encourage you to purchase these books. You won't regret it.
Also I should give full credit to my cat, Claudio, for the frequent background meows and purring sounds you hear throughout.

It’s not her fault technically but she still did lie. She could’ve told the truth, even if it cost her. Loyalty and truth and integrity can be tough but that’s the price of being real. @@diegocobosanchez4373 I think the "crime" in question is more meta, like we were robbed of a good outcome. The Red Viper had basically won the fight. Just taking 3 steps back and letting The mountain bleed out would have won Oberyn the fight and Tyrion his life. The Red wedding horrible as it was had a few more variables leading up to it. It was as much a Frey and Bolton betrayal and grab for power as a culmination of unfortunate choices from the King in the North and his mother.

I think that it's really interesting how Tyrion's trials are compared (the Eyrie and KL). In the Eyrie he also confessed to get his side of the story heard, because there was no other way people would listen to him. It's a good insight into how he's had to deal with people and accusations his whole life.

He never stood chance, his father despised him, his sister hated him, he is a dwarf and he is ugly. From birth he already had a bad reputation. It did not matter what he did, most people would demknize everything he did. Him protecting Sansa was seen as evil, him saving KL is seen as evil, him standing up to bullies is seen as arrogant. It even spills over into the fandom, Jamie will be snarky and speak against his father but people call him brave but Tyrion is seen as arrogant. A lot of book analysts say that Tyrion would be better loved if he were a better person but too many of them dont understand what it is like to be an outcast.

@@theelectricprince8231 exactly, everyone expects tyrion to be apologetic about his very existance and to be understanding that his father holds back his birthright and blames him for killing his mother, tyrion never even has a chair to his size and needs and is is _understandable_ that there is no woman able to look past his physique... For now these readings are like a hidden gem, which I secretly like even though he definitely deserves more praise for these readings because it’s almost too good to be true: -The audio quality is perfectly fine -His narration is very calming to listen to -The voices he adds are so good and distinctive as well, which adds so much to the story -Fitting art for every chapter / character was chosen (and the artists are given credits in the description which too often doesn’t happen but I am glad that that’s not the case here) -No ads during the video which I appreciate SO MUCH because if there had been ads I wouldn’t have been nearly as engaged -And last but not least: the cute kitty who sometimes meows and purrs in the background which is absolutely adorable and genuinely makes me smile every time I hear it The sounds of the cat in the background and sometimes maybe a chair creaking or a cough or even hearing him make a little error all add to the atmosphere for me and make it sound almost like you’re just chilling with a friend who is reading this story to you This comment turned out way longer than I meant to but so far I’ve rarely commented but listened to the two previous books and this one up until this video and enjoyed it immensely so I just wanted to show some appreciation, I can’t wait to listen to the rest and then every so often re-visit these readings afterwards

👏👏👏👏, mr. David and your cat(Claudio, I believe)!!!! This was awesomely narrated, from Tyrion's fury, to Gregor's booming voice, to the Red Viper screaming his sister's name!!! Hurrah to you!! PS: Before we've had many trials, such as the death of Stinger, Ser Morgil's fake accusation against queen Naerys, Dunk at Ashford, and that of Tyrion at the Eyrie, wherein Justice⚖ indeed triumphed. BUT, there were also Maegor's fight against the Warrior's Sons, Sandor's duel with Beric (glad he won and lived, but he WAS guilty of slaying Mycah!) and now THIS INJUSTICE too!!! Thus, should trial by battle remain a desirable means for law verdicts in Westeros, Yes or no?...

It’s still a dark deed, but completely understandable if I’m trying to escape a crime I didn’t do and the one possible witness is basically my ex and she’s fuckin my dad. Biggest robbery in history. Grrm knows how to screw over his readers, and it shows in this chapter. After all, his whole career revolves around that.

I can't wait for Tyrion to turn evil. I can't wait for Catelyn to turn evil. I love it when good people get hurt by an evil world and then give that evil world a taste of its own medicine.

Catelyn IS evil lol. Lady stonheart is just as bad, maybe worse. Both of them get people killed. People that don’t deserve it. If anything lady stonheart maybe even better, at least most of the people she gets killed are actually backstabbers and kinda got it coming. Catelyn was just out here getting people killed starting wars, kiniving with little finger, and never seems to feel any remorse

Bro, Tyrion is not turning evil. Tyrion was abducted by Catelyn and he saved her from harm, he was abducted (and totured) by Jorah and saved him twice. If he is still doing the samethings despite such a drastic change in circumstances then he is not buring KL. Cat on the underhand..... she is not Ramsay but she was not a good person remotely. She is vile to Jon, she abducted Tyrion without proof,l and helped started a war, she freed Jamie but did not wish Theon to be freed because he killed her child (she did not pick up on her hypocracy). Cat was a very self centered person in life and did more harm to the world than good, and she nearly killed Brienne and Podrick, 2 of the most innocent people in the story. Monster are not people whom ate hurt or totured like Tyrion, they are people whom are indulged, enabled and get undesered positive reinforcememt.

Im assuming Shae "betrayed" Tyrion because she was threatened with a torture and death if not. She looked scared leaving the court room (maybe she didn't do a satisfactory job so will be punished anyways). And she told Tyrion to get out of Tywins room cause he'll be back soon and she's sorry, Tywin scares her. I believe her. Not only that but I think perhaps she really did love Tyrion. That's why GRRM calls it "Tyrion's Darkest deed, the great scar on his soul". He's murdered several people, but this was someone who loved him. Literally Tywin pulled the same shit he did with Tysha.
