60 Minutes was (and still is!) a leftist propaganda outlet that did the carter et al bidding in 1979 to demonize and backstab Iran and her dedicated king, and promote and hype up the khomeinist murderers as “some kind of savior” of the country. I imagine, 60 Minutes was not too pleased by President Sadat’s comments against their islamo-vampire puppet who destroyed the oldest country in the world, Iran.

President Sadat of Egypt is loved by today's Iranian youth for hosting our Shah in his last days. He was a true friend, who ended up paying with his life when he was assassinated by the Muslim brotherhood the following year. Our parents' generation so shamefully exiled the Shah of Iran while he was suffering from terminal cancer and they wanted to execute him if they could get their hands on him and further bring shame and trauma to the Iranian national psyche. The way Carter, Giscard d'Estaing and other western leaders also treated our Shah and replaced him with Khomeini is a blot on the western political history. Not only it was a policy with disastrous consequences for the Iranian people but also the whole world has been dealing with state sponsored terrorism spread by the Islamic Ayatollahs and their proxies.

The era of pragmatism and moderation is coming to an end. Suppose its just a nature of the cold war and the 20th century in general. The times were hard and stakes were high...you had to be. Such is not the case anymore. More and more people driven by emotion and impulses, and idealogical zealotry...viewing the world in black and white. Good and bad. With me or against me... With a pragmatist, you can profoundly disagree, you may be on opposite sides, and yet know that they can be relied upon to act in their best interest, to behave in a reasonable and pragmatic manner. A pargamatist is one that can be relied upon. You know they have the base level of competence, and human dignity to do whats needed in their interest, to do right by them. To act as civilized men of a civilized society. With an idealist, a zealot...none of that is the case. With that the base level of civlity that distinguishes us as human beings, and that base level of mutual respect, dignity and basic civility in conversation, once that is gone, we are no more animals than men. The only thing worse than a ruthless pragmatist...is a ruthless idealist... There is a certain level of class and dignity that has been lost from the world...the notion that you can profoundly disagree, be on opposite sides of a war but yet admire each others strength and character as individuals...certainly from this time in the 20th century when many lived through war and hardship, sons of the 20th century and of the greatest generation...that common bond among them all, that joined them in mutial admiration and respect. It was a harder time, but undoubtedly a more civilized time...perhaps precisely so because they needed to be. As they say, "Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men create hard times..." These men lived in times when the stakes were high...most were veterans of the war or had lived through them. Is that why Ariel Sharon admitted he was lost and couldn't do anything and even when he surrounded the Egyptian 3rd army, it didn't get defeated and Muhammad Hussain Tantawy broke that encirculation eventually? 😂😂 Learn history lol. Here are some sources for you: Ten myths about Israel book by Israeli historian Ilan Pappe. The iron wall book by Israeli historian Avi Shlaim. The fear of peace book by Israeli historian Mosche Zimmerman. My life memoir book by Golda Meir. Elusive victory book by Trevor N Dupuy. Ariel Sharon interview on Yom Kippur war. IDF leaders themselves in the war admitted they lost, on basis are you saying they won and even no sources or documentaries say Israel won that war. Are you in another universe?

The Shahbano the third and last wife of the Shah now lives in Paris. She has a completely different version to tell. She says the US left them dangling, Shah was battling cancer and all that the US did was give him a poor man's refuge.

Has Biden been talking to these leaders too?

Nah they’re not his type

@@wengercleopatra2150 You could be wrong because Biden keeps telling us that he is actively in conversations with world leaders who died decades ago. Also, most of Biden's voters are dead people, so anything is possible.

Nixon will be remembered as a great President, unfortunately with a bad last impression. Edit: those who pray for Isreal will be blessed. Curse: cursed.
