I went to school (Old Boys High School) with one of his sons. Who was in the movie (the Prospect Park scene before the rumble). Which I was there also. His son also use to take Polaroid pictures on the old 42nd street back in the day in the late 70s and 80s. I once sat on a jury in (1993) which was a very high profile Brooklyn case. A witness for the defense was from Sonny Carson organization. The prosecution tried to defame her testimony. Because she was attached to his name. The only one on the jury that knew about Sonny Carson was myself. So I had to explain to the other 11 jurors while in the jury room.

Mentored al sharpton ??? That should have been bleeped out. I don't think Sonny ever claimed that. Paradise should know better than that. fat al back in the day wore a wire trying to snitch Sonny and the Movement out, and not talking about the Black Watch Movement.

Bro calling Sonny Carson Brooklyn's Bumpy Johnson is very disrespectful i could just hear what A B (SonnyCarson) would say to you brother get your history right ! I was a member of Sonny's school of common sense before the movie Sonny did not have use out selling drugs Sonny had use me and Lumumba who was like a brother to me out there working to get black people elected he had use out working giving out flyers telling black people to support new black businesses .Sonny Carson was a great man who like anyone one else made mistakes in life but made up for it later on in life.This is for the guy who is talking i know you were a friend of Lumumba aka X but what you said about his father you don't know shit about Bumpy rip and you damn sure don't know nothing about Sonny sorry yall Sonny was like a father to me just like he was for a lot of young black men but he made him sound like a drug dealer who Bumpy was Peace !!

I'm confused I thought Bumpy Johnson's think was the numbers racket.
@mikeddh20184 жыл бұрын
I could be wrong, but I think that he was saying that Sonny Carson's power & influence was similar to the power & influence that Bumpy had in Harlem.

I also went to the actual School Of Common Sense. Studied Self Defense with Sensei Diamond. Sonny was a very close friend. I think I remember you Kev. Paradise is talking about influence in the community. I wouldn't sweat too much of what he says. I know Paradise from back in the day too. BEFORE he came in on the coattails of The Awesome Two and Jam-On productions at The Latin Quarter. He's got his own little perspective on how many things were but he's not always very accurate. Pray for the Brother.

Ran Luciano out of Harlem?😂 Perhaps he was to busy taking over a whole country known as Cuba, Helping win WW2 campaigns in Italy, organizing the commission, he protected the NYC docks & longshoremen from sabotage, all while making millions and dying a free man. Not to shabby for a poor immigrant child. I respect this guy, but come on lets be real
