Thats one of the more annoying ones to me now. I love the song like all hell, its a masterpiece. But omg the ammount of times i have been mid song and some rando dude walks up to me and goes, "play smoke on the wateeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" it gives me flashbacks 😂 its either that or, "can you play deven nation armyyyyy?" YESSSS, doesnt mean i will 🤣 Do you ever get this from people?

3 years ago I was diagnosed with a spinal problem in my neck. There is a real risk of losing the use of my arms and legs some day, no clue when though. Up till that point playing guitar had always been a fun thing I did but it was never taken seriously. I'd play along to music not really caring how often I messed up, I didn't go out of my way to learn new stuff, etc. It was a hobby at best, but after my spine went fubar my guitar became everything to me. It's now a mission and learning to play properly is my rallying cry. I won't go quietly! I understand exactly what you mean when you talk about music being the fountain of youth SG. Even when I feel horrible, a couple of choice tones played tight in the mix always brings a smile. Especially when you nail that pinch harmonic that's been driving you nuts for weeks. :)

Keep it up man! There is also a risk that this is not happening at all. Playing the guitar could even help with that, who knows! :)

It absolutely has helped me maintain dexterity and fine motor control, I'd even say it's improved over time. The mental boost of just feeling happy about something is immeasurable though. Amazing how music can bring people to joy, to tears, to their feet, or to heal. Cheers!

I always get discouraged when Im trying to write a song or something because I feel like everything has been done before. Melodies, chord progressions, everything. it gets really hard to create with a mindset like that and even harder to stop thinking like that.

To me, music is literally one of the most important things in life. It has some kind of magic in it, so many facets in there one can't even explain in words! I dedicate most of my free time in music, be it listening to songs/bands or working on my own stuff. Music is something that will always be with me for the rest of my life.

This is great, reminds me of 're-finding' the love for guitar, I had a lecturer who basically told me that my bending technique was horribly wrong (it was awful). I had been playing for like 6 years (self taught) and never knew this was wrong and it made me think...wow the more I learn the more I realise how much there is to music.

Ive had a hiatus for over 6 years. And the creative block has been hard. Ive made one decent organ piece recently but its not what I really wanted to do. Inspiration is so hard to come by these days I wanna make slow pieces, upbeat pieces, lyrical pieces, ect... but finding said inspiration is hard.
