Spiderman was a genius idea. The fact that he has personal problems and isn't perfect makes him relatable and the fact that he is so unique from any hero or villain created before or after him is what makes him even better
@shayneoneill15066 ай бұрын
That was Stan Lees genius really. All his better characters had troubles. The X-Men where an analogy for the struggles the jewish and black community where facing in the civil rights era and earlier. The Hulk's Bruce Banner was deeply troubled and on the run from his alter ego, Dr Strange was about a man having to reinvent himself after falling from the heights of fame and accomplishment, and so on.
@logeyperogi18053 ай бұрын
It humanizes Spider-Man, making him not only more relatable, but more within reach for the average person And as such it inspired the average person more than Superman ever could, inspired them to overcome hardships, and remain good people even when going through hardships
@thebman802 ай бұрын
Back then though I guess the thinking was that superheroes don't need to be relatable because they're above the average man. Batman was probably the one most relatable characters at the time and he was a rich millionaire with personal issues.

My favorite thing about spider man is his decency. In all his portrayals through comics and movies, he never holds himself up on a pedestal or thinks himself a god. It’s the little things, like how he profusely apologizes whenever he mildly inconveniences somebody. Aside from moonlighting as a hero, I find the character kinda therapeutic cause he’s so genuine and approachable.

The story is inspired from Berserk, Vinland saga, And some other stuff, the story it self has a whole world of lore already written, a beastiary for me, a whole fantasy world, and a shit ton of moving parts. Part 2 takes place on the same dark fantasy world but now through the eyes of someone who goes deeper and deeper into insanity until he convinces himself that the Mad god chose him to kill the other gods of the world before a God war happens. And a bunch of other comics focused on Superhero stuff, and then a different spread focusing on a varity of philosophical ideas of Identity, The Idea of a human, what makes a world, what moves us specifically as humans, and plenty more.
