Where do we get our probe rods?
Go to the website below, and scroll down. There is a weird probe with a wide tip and the top of the page. IT’S NOT THAT PROBE. The standard starter probe is a 4 foot rod with a small welding bead at the end. This is not a paid promotion.

Where do we find the maps?
You can go to the library of congress website and type in “sunburn map” or “plat map” and then the name of the town or city. Most town maps from across the U.S. are not on the site, so there is no guarantee, and they can sometimes be hard to find. You can also try the same keyword search in your state archives website, which will likely produce better results (especially for smaller towns).

You could possibly be digging up an old outhouse spot. It was common for people to also throw trash in with the "other " deposits they were making.. when the hole eventually filled up, they would just dig a new one a few feet away and move the outhouse over the new hole.

My parents were friends with descendant of Alonzo Bliss. The product was bliss’ rubbing linament. At one time we had a case of that product. We were also given several Alonzo Bliss, Bliss Rubbing Linament wall thermometers. The linament must have mostly been ethanol and most of it had evaporated. The bottles were more modern with an unusual Bakelite cap that had a smaller cap centered on top for limiting the amount of linament that was dispensed.

I found 10 beautiful arrowhead one day in turkey creek/ glenmore Louisiana years back( we sprayed timber land ). It rained bad the night before and they just bladed the woods road. I went out early to check road conditions and they were everywhere. Few years later my soon took them to school and handed them out to his friends.
