Thank you very much! It's a very hot take, because they are unfortunately very hated, but I feel the same with Steve and Nancy, he seems so mature, valnurable and serious with her. In the RV scene, in the woods even in the past seasons they had serious moments rogether. Meanwhile with his friends the duffers use him often as comedian relief.

I understand the in-canon reasoning behind it. I think that it's a pretty obvious retcon however. It's clear in season 1 that the reason for her inability to speak fluently was due to her being treated as a lab rat. I just don't like the fact that show had to tie in this new villian to everything that has happened in the show. It's a "gotcha moment" that doesn't feel well thought out or planned

Season 1 was almost perfect. Each season after that gets worse, until we get to the televised abortion that was season 4.
