Ritu needs a crash course on BJJ basics to have a shot at finishing up an opponent. Would also like to have seen more low kick leg striking from Ritu. Clearly Stamp is at an entirely different caliber during this juncture. MMA is not just about takedowns and ground-n-pounding your opponent. You must possess the ability to perform escapes, when necessary, to get the finish.

Ritu is honestly a great wrestler but her striking game is very weak especially in front of high level fighters. She can definitely win against lower ranked fighters but the top fighters are definitely going to exploit that. Still it's a proud moment for us indians that an indian is fighting at such high level...

Muay thai, traditional muay thai or one of the other muay styles is a complete system. Muay thai the sport was created to compete with kickboxers in the west, lethwei with headbutts and no gloves was not accepted for the public. Its much like okinawaan karate vs japanese karate, okinawaan karate is a full system, has judo, aikido amd jujutsu. Much like other muay style has submission grappling and clinch. But because of the sport, it loses its system to being more a kickboxing and less a martial art. Ong bak is good example of a full system muay style. Maybe muay barano i think its called. Depends which part of old khmer u are from. Cambodia and laos also share the martial art style but have their variations or interpretation of muay. All legit. But thailand is the older brother.

The stance is meant to hold knives, similar to filipino boxing cali which derives from karate or influenced karate, since phillipines is right in the vicinity and okinawa even went to china to bring back *open hand* to become *empty hand* Dagestan is in russia, they do sambo. But have you seen russian aikido? Its something else lol.
