This game turns opening theory on its head! Who would have thought that losing that d pawn would result in a better game for Black?

Wow! Beautiful game and beautifully explained! A masterpiece! Thank you!

Sagar Bhai I would recommend hiding the final score of the match beforehand since it spoils the fun. Thank You

My rating increased from 800 to 1000 due to Sicilian it's my favourite opening now ❤️❤️

Its Sicilian with black and Ruy Lopez with white for me. Both allow for absolute control from the opening itself. Helped increase rating from 1200 to 1700.

In interview Caruana said Rd2 allowing the blockade was Tari's losing mistake.

Namaste and elbow bump are always good but let's inject some disco and do a hip bump in these strange times.

i am seeing in tcec tournaments ... white always wins in Taimanov variation. so The book moves are favouring only white.

Caruana is a ruy lopez player. But why he played sicilian taimonav?
@Isaiah_McIntosh4 жыл бұрын
He used to play taimanov when he was younger. Kazimdhanov prepared this line specifically for him the day before he said in the post game interview. Also modern players tend to be very flexible with their openings the notable exceptions used to be MVL and Ding Liren but even they have begun expanding their repertoires.
