Sun Bears are actually “omnivores”, not “carnivores” as the narrator inaccurately stated at minute 3:45. In their native habitat of the SE Asian rainforests, they eat fruits, insects (especially termites & grubs), and honey. Their omnivorous diet is part of why they are a crucial component of their native rainforest ecosystem: their termite-eating activity helps to protect trees from excess termite populations, and as fruit eaters they help to spread seeds that propagate various native plants through a wide range of land, thus regenerating the rainforest.

Oh yes. Me to. I think she was still grieving in the other enclosure. She had no way to escape it. Who knows 🤷 in the wild when they lose a cub, they move on away from the grief to a new place, just like they've done here. It seemed to make all the difference in the world.
