I discovered your channel recently and I’ve been really enjoying your trips around Suffolk and Norfolk. I’m in Norfolk and know most of the roads you’ve been on from when I was working as a Chartered Surveyor. It’s been great to see them again. You, sir, have a lot to answer for. I had thought that once I’ve sold my current toy (Commer PB dropside) I could be happy with a Herald convertible. Now it looks as though I’ll be looking for a Vitesse convertible in 2024, the sound your two girls produce is music to my ears! 😂 Thanks for all the videos Peter

Thank you so much. I am delighted that you are going to get a Triumph next year. We live in the very best part of the world for driving old cars. Whether six cylinders or four, a Michelotti Triumph is much more!

This is a good way to start a Monday morning. The small country roads and landscape are very reminiscent of my part of the Tyne Valley.

That straight 6 is sounding sweet and seems to be pulling strong when accelerating now, it sounds in a good state of tune. That mechanic's work on the carbs is well worth it.

Thanks for the ride! Interesting issue with the tacho over-reading. Does it set to zero correctly with the engine off? These are mechanical driven tachos on the vitesse driven by cable from the distributor so could be a cable issue. Might be worth swapping cables with the Mk2 as I think the cables might be the same, see if the issue disappears?

Really good point. No the tachometer resets to 500rpm when the engine is off. The issue, for the last 12 years is with the horology of the instrument. I will get it serviced and repaired at some point. The trouble is that my cars don't come off the road in winter, except during gritting, but we have a benign climate in Suffolk. I have to make the commitment not to drive while the tach is away... Very hard for me to do😂
