Watching you driving your Vitesse around those lovely villages reminds me of exactly how perfect these relatively unassuming, and often overlooked British classics really are. Still ideally suited for doing exactly what they were designed for after all these years.

I really agree Leon. It does feel like some things have become unnecessarily complicated. They have certainly become unnecessarily large!

What a heartfelt and heartwarming video, after my illness I rely on carers to help my life function as near normal as possible, I could not live any quality of life without them, they are unsung heroes and you Sean are a special man

Great to see Tess enjoyng her tour around Suffolk, thanks for sharing. Interesting to hear your perspectives on the life of Group Captain Leonard Cheshire VC. My childhood friend from first going to school had a degenerative neurological disease, believed to be as a result of catching a virus when he was six months old. He died in his early 40s, but latterly resided at a Cheshire Home where was able to live life to the full. Over the time I was visiting I came to know many of the other residents and staff. It was clear to me that the whole ethos of the organisation was down to one man's amazing ability to lead by example, always in the most sensitive and caring way.

What a wonderful testimony Philip. You may know that Leonard himself died from Motor Neurone Disease, but he saw it as yet another way to connect with those he sought to help throughout his life. I just wish there were men of his character and stature in public life today.

Excellent video as ever Sean. I remember learning about Leonard Cheshire at school, a truly great man. I can well understand the impact he has had on you. Beautiful Boxford is another place I’m going to have to visit, you’ve got a lot to answer for! Peter

Thanks Peter. Every time I drive to one of these villages, I pass three more that I think I ought to film. The highways and byways await you. 😀

Hello Sean. I've finally got to this video (my To View list just keeps getting longer and longer!). I read Group Captain Cheshire's autobiography some time in my teens (clearly, a very long time ago) - it's certainly high time I read it again. Cheshire Homes are operational here in SA; my mother was something of a supporter (along with every animal charity there is!). I find it very inspiring that you have been sufficiently inspired by Cheshire to change the course of your own life. My hat's off to you. It's a pity I wasn't able to join you and your subscribers for the drive; I hope that a very good time was had by all. Very best wishes, Colin.

I hope you have a great time on 15th June, I will be flying the Vitesse flag at our local classic and hot rod show with another 600 or so cars. Albeit 8 hours after you!

Thanks Leon, I hope you are able to take lots of photos of your event. It sounds like quite a show. How many Sports Sixes do you think you will see?

@seanhumfrey Exactly, precisely zero. I've seen Spitfires, a TR6, and a Herald 13/60 that I partly helped with the restoration. That car came from Bermuda, it was restored locally and soon went off to Colorado and then down to Los Angeles!
