Hi Thomas, been subbed for around two years now and always loved your content. So peaceful and tranquil it always destressed me put me in a better mood. However for what must be around six months I haven’t had any notifications from you and assumed you’d been away from KZbin. It was only today when I searched for one of your old vids to watch that I realised infact you hadn’t been away!! I’m equally pissed off at KZbin for not letting me see your videos in my feed, as I am happy that now I have 6 months of videos to binge watch. Thanks again for the videos, you’re one of my fav youtubers, and being somewhat of a photographer myself I can appreciate the effort and dedication that goes into the work you out up for us. Big love from the Uk

Great images Tom, well done. Also, you timed it well to get the best of this winters snow. Just seen on the news that this winter has had the lowest amount of snow for 70 years and that yesterday was the hottest February day in Scotland for 122 years at 18.3 degrees C !!

3 years ago, in may, I had an accident & fractured my spine & just shy of the 4 month recovery mark in September, I ran (well, jogged/walked) a half-marathon. Hiking -- not my usual "sketchy" trails -- was one of the best "rehabilitation" activities & motivation to not let the injury redefine my life(style). So I know exactly how your friend feels & 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 to him! I love hearing these "come back" stories 🙏🏽🤙🏽

Hi Thomas, been watching for a long while now. I find myself shopping around at gear quite often. When I'm in that mode, I see one of your videos and it reminds me the gear is not what all this is about. It's okay that I don't have a wide angle lens at the moment. It's okay that I don't own any L glass. You hardly ever even say what lens you're using other than to mention what focal distance and f stop you're shooting at. It reminds me that having the latest gear and getting the highest resolution photos technologically possible isn't necessary and I appreciate that. Your videos are always leaps and bounds more inspiring than any of the gear reviewers'. I'm sure many feel the same way. So thanks for being here! Keep making your awesome videos that are ACTUALLY about photography.

That's what set him apart from essentially everyone else, especially so when he first started out a few years ago on the channel. His humble and modest approach is a stark contrast to so many other people out there, youtubers or otherwise. It's always refreshing to see another TH upload.
@ThomasHeatonPhoto5 жыл бұрын
That's very kind, thank you. I certainly wouldn't discourage having the best gear you can stretch to, but in no way is it the most important thing about photography. What's the use in spending all your money on gear if you then don't venture out in to the wilds to use it :)

Hi Tom, that morning I was on top of the mountain across the Glen (Stob Mhic Mhartuin), shooting back towards your position on Stob Dubh (and northwards towards Ben Nevis and the Mamores). It was a great morning to be up top on the hills but hard going in knee deep snow. You got some great images.

Another great video, if not one of the best you've done recently. Though I have say it's getting to be a bit of bitter-sweet experience now. Watching you go to these great places and take fantastic shots, I'm getting really jealous. Certainly at my very amateur level I could not do any where near the justice to these landscapes they deserved, I'd more than happy to go there and breathe in that scenery. Keep up the excellent work. Oh, great choice in background music too.

Panos are mostly what i do - big vistas to record something which (to the eye) is simply incredible, and with Medium format photography to be printed LARGE, the files are "oooh la laa"! Big vistas are quite incredible to record and particularly difficult with so much white within any histogram. The beauty here in T's images are probably is probably the beauty of the light and colour over composition. To witness such beauty as the "Belt of Venus approaching the earth chasing the blue earths shadow that we saw in Pano 1 - is simply a natural phenomenon and simply incredible to watch and be lucky enough to record. Well done - "viewing something Majestic" should be something which is on everyones bucket list. Well done T and N. Regards Ewan
