The early morning sky was painted with hues of orange and pink as I set off on the Springs Trail towards Deland. The sun, rising across Lake Monroe, cast long shadows through the tree-lined path. The quiet morning was broken only by the occasional rustling of leaves and the distant sounds of wildlife. As the day progressed, the trail became busier, filled with walkers, runners, and cyclists enjoying the fresh air. The speed sign on the road caught my attention, a friendly reminder of the early morning pace. The 43-mile ride was a delightful way to start the day, a peaceful escape into nature.
