What a precious story. Thank you Stavros. I'm patiently awaiting delivery of a Eumig Nautica from Austria. I have several iconic Super 8 cameras and now finally can include this rare gem. I can't wait for Summer and now that I know the backstory it makes it even more special.

I'm 24, traveling the world and this camera is a dream of mine because my previous S8 died in the harsh environment of west Africa. I did not know about the genius of Dr. Kurt Schaefer who made the Nautica possible. Thank you for this beautiful story Stavros. I will keep dreaming about one day, owning one myself.

Ja , Toll , Ihr Filmbeitrag freut mich sehr , denn ich hatte diese Kamera bei Eumig Jahre lang im Kundendienst - und nach Ende der Eumig , Selbständig weiter gewartet . Vor ca 20 Jahren wurde beim Umzug in eine neue Wohnung , die meisten Teile der Kameras und Projektoren falsch entsorgt .Habe jetzt nicht mal eine defekte Kamera Nautica als Erinnerung . Es war die beste Zeit mit Eumig MfG H:Schukraft

guten abend! erstmal danke für das super video! super einführung zur eumig nautica! blöde frage - ich habe drei zu Hause und es funktioniert nur noch eine... wissen Sie zufällig wo man so eine Kamera heutzutage noch reparieren lassen kann? vielen dank :)))

Hallo, www.fototechnik-mayrhofer.at in Salzburg repariert alte Kameras. Soweit ich informiert bin, hat diese Firma u.a. auch Ersatzteile für die Eumig Nautica. Beste Grüße aus Kärnten!

Wo in Deutschland kann man heute noch Eumig Geräte reparieren lassen ?? Ich habe es schon - vergeblich - überall versucht, von Repair-Cafes bis zu großen Elektrohändlern und Servicewerkstätten.
