A SUPER 8 Ski Loop at the Dolomites' Cinque Torri Divided by Two Equals...Four?

This officially marked the final day of our 2023/24 skiing season in the Dolomites. Having never fully captured the SUPER 8 ski tour at Cinque Torri near Passo Falzarego, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. However, much like in our last adventure at Portavescovo ( • Arabba - Portavescovo:... ), we were greeted with an abundance of snow, leading to the closure of the entry slopes from Averau to Croda Negra due to avalanche risks.
Skiing, a sport deeply intertwined with nature, reminds us that despite the plethora of human-made artifacts and facilities, nature ultimately reigns supreme. Thus, we adapted. Plan B was straightforward: We immersed ourselves fully in the Cinque Torri area, culminating in an incredible final run on the Lagazuoi, starting from the renowned Terrace of the Dolomites.

Ian and I had a day at Lagazuoi and Cinque Torri when we were at Ustaria Posta last month. It wasn't clear to us where the Super 8 was but, having seen the video, I think we skied all of it. We went for lunch at the Averau and when we came out there was thick cloud and wet snow so we couldn't see much after that! It is a great place to ski when the sun's out 😉

Man kann es gar nicht zu oft wiederholen ..... Es ist und bleibt das beste Skigebiet ( Dolom Super...🎿🎿🎿 )mit der schönsten Landschaft ,egal zu welcher Jahreszeit 🤗. Il mondo è bello perché è vario! Mentre vi godete l'ultima sciata di stagione noi al mare ci godiamo la prima giornata di spiaggia in costume e bagno in mare 😊. Sarà che l'erba del vicino è sempre più verde quindi ammiro sempre con sana invidia i vostri paesaggi mozza fiato. Vi auguro una buona stagione estiva e un rivederci al prossimo inverno 😊. Ps mi sembra che la pista chiusa lo sia spesso, sono venuto a inizio febbraio e ho avuto la stessa sorpresa! Peccato che per il bus ho dovuto fare una coda di 2 ore 😢 senza possibilità di un taxi bus privato.

Another excellent video Igor of an area I and many other of my snowHeads friends know very well. Incidentally this season when a group of us staying in Alleghe had a trip to Cortina using the Pescul to Fedare ski bus which takes you to the rear chairlift of Cinque Torri on the return journey once we got to the top of Averau at Cinque Torri we found as you did that the slope down the rear side of Cinque Torri had been closed off. For a moment we were panicking as to how we were going to get back to Alleghe 😳, but fortunately the lift operator let us download on the chairlift from Averau to Fedare. 😊

No il papá non sarebbe un bravo maestro di sci .... 😂😂😂 come in tante (troppe) cose sono troppo onesto a dire cosa non va e non funziona con i clienti/turisti. Al giorno d'oggi lavorano bene solo quelli che dispensano complimenti (anche se non meritati) a pioggia 😂😂😂.

Giornata magnifica per il Vostro giro, ma anche un poco di tristezza per la fine stagione con tutta quella neve ancora. Era gia successo anche in stagioni precedenti, inverno asciutto e piste con l'erba . Poi un metro di neve a fine stagione. Ma meglio cosi, per la Natura va bene. Arrivederci ai Vostri sci!
