I really like LO-FI-AF! It's deceptive in the sense that it skews more towards the digital destruction end of the spectrum, though the analog tools are there. This is actually a much-needed tool in the lo-fi spectrum! This in combo with RC-20 becomes limitless for crafting sounds that really could be arising from anywhere in the media spectrum. Crucially, LFAF has a very well structured Randomize function! Highly recommended.

Definitely a fun plugin, I love the interference tool especially. UA did a great job making something interesting as usual. I'll be interested to see what updates they may add in the future
@alchemistrpm823 жыл бұрын
Between this, RC-20, Lifeline Expanse (which is less like RC than you might assume), Tape Echoes by Softube, [insert your favorite plugin here], the power to get exactly what you want out of "Lo-Fi" is readily available. Loving this stuff for hip hop production in particular.

Damn, after the first demo I'm already a fan of this. Great sound and out-of-the-box features. I will say however that 129$ is just too much for something this specific - might wait for a sale on this one, if sketch cassette and bit crushing aren't enough anymore at some point...

I’m pretty much in love with it, it’s just that it has two major flaws. First one is latency. It has around 40ms if i recall and second is really loud POP that you hear when you start feeding some audio to it if the AGC is engaged. Otherwise, it’s a lofi beast as well as your review. 🖤

I have so many lo-fi and tape emulators that I wasn't interested in one more until I saw this video. This definitely has a few things that the others don't, and can replace several plugins that I use. The closest comparison you're likely to get is Vybz from Thenatan, but that's still not a one-to-one feature parity. I'll be buying this one when it's on sale. Which is now.
@joost3783 Жыл бұрын
What this is really missing is some modulators/lfos to for example modulate the station with other aspects of the plugin etc. They really kind of missed out on this IMHO which is weird because that's what they are generally good at if you look at some of their older plugins. Also feels kind of rushed on the bit crusher, there is no auto gain which makes in kind of hard to use for transitions etc. I mean I bought it, but it's really not that well rounded of a plugin IMHO

@bloodswarms3 жыл бұрын
It's a shame they don't let you supply your own IRs. I have an entire library of IRs that would be cool to use with a plugin like this. I bet this plugin pairs well with Decimort.
@VenusTheory3 жыл бұрын
I asked about that and I guess it's due to the plugin being highly optimized for micro-IRs. That said, Convology XT is a free IR Reverb that you can use to call up some IRs to pair with this plugin!
