A swimming Swimming Crab

I was diving Waimea Bay on the North Shore of Oahu. I came across a depression in the sand and went down to investigate it. I found a crab (that goes by many names and is usually found around the shallow waters of the mangroves). I started filming with my GoPro: • Swimming Crab in its Hole and finished recording it (displaying the typical defensive posture...time to move on). All of a sudden, the crab swam straight up about 20 feet and then started swimming away. It caught me by surprise and started recording again while trying to catch up to it. Not at all. Our species has an insane packing bonding ability. Its why something as crazy as pet rocks are possible. You can test it out for yourself. Only some species can swim...you can tell by the back 2 legs whether it's a swimming species or not...swimmers' 2 back legs are flat and rounded on the ends like paddles, scuttlers back 2 legs look like the rest of their legs...

Some of them are pretty fast swimmers. But for others, swimming is just a way of getting onto higher places
