"OP' lacks mental strength to move away from a disinterested spouse. Begging has no integrity. When a woman makes a statement for separation, just grant her request immediately and keep moving forward with your life. There is no need to continue to suffer in prolonged distress. Enough said!

I wouldn't play her games. When she asked for separation , I would tell her, I prefer a divorce. No need to waste time, nerves and money.

His first mistake was contributing 3 times towards the assets than she did... And on top of it putting so much overtime into the process that she stupidly got it in her mind that she wasn't getting enough attention... Well she had herself convinced that he would never sacrifice his "excessive" 25% share of their shared assets to get a 50/50% split... And she couldn't use the CS "yoke" to drag him down further into despair and fear of financial ruin.

I think you posted a very good story, narration was good and length of story good. My only negative feedback is that the story ended too abruptly. There should have been more of a closing. Other than that great job!! You’ve got my sub and I look forward to the next story. Thanks for the post!!👍

I wish my wife would have come out and told me that she wanted to move on instead of cheating behind my back. It's not easy.

'The person who gets dumped has it all figured out and the person being dumped is unprepared and confused'. WHAT in hell does that even mean???

Screw this would be my response, but I remember a girl who ghosted me one night. Said she loved me and would see me soon. Never saw her again until over a year later she called me. She was pregnant and got dumped by her new love. What doesn't kill you makes you bitter.

He did. He dumped her and moved on to a woman who wanted and respected him. Julie has learned a painful lesson. Maybe she’ll take it to heart in her next relationship. At the least, she needs to dump that skank Freda. She’s nobody’s friend.

For a man to tolerate such disrespect this long is pathetic. A lawyer should have been contacted as soon as she walked out. But yes we all need to take time to think and plan and not act irrationally. Some take longer but reach the same conclusion.

The funniest part of this story was how the wifes length of seperation kept growing. First it was a month then a month or so , before you know it it became two months. Then before long it was half a year then it kept growing and before you knew it , it was up to two years , finally the enormous simp got smart and gave up on her.

I can't help but raise my eyebrows at those sitting at their computers criticising the husband for the way he handled this."He SHOULD have done this or that." 1. How he handled it IS HIS CHOICE. 2. It took time but he realised that his wife's "friend" was manipulating the situation for personal gain. 3. He walks away from the marriage knowing he gave his wife every opportunity to stop behaving like a petulant 5 year old. She chose NOT to be reasonable and put some effort into the relationship. Despite being completely being blindsided he realised his own value and the extent of his wife's disrespect. He met someone new and, I think learned enough to spot and act to prevent anything like this happening again and if it did to walk away. Faced with issues in your relationship my advice is to work it out with the help of professionals and people you trust rather than rely on the "Armchair Experts."

You're right, it's ultimately his choice on how he handles the situation. 💔💔

Weak men lead difficult live and eave themselves open to criticism. The way the comments react is the same way that your friends, family, and acquaintances react in private when they find out you took back an unfaithful spouse. Nobody respects you for working it out, especially the spouse that betrayed you. Allowing your boundaries to be trampled and throwing away your self-respect is not honorable and only adds shame and regret to your feelings of loss and betrayal.
