This documentary focuses on two of the six Mitford sisters: Jessica the Communist and Diana the Fascist. Separated by only a few years in age, but poles apart in ideology. They grew up in a divided Europe at the beginning of the 20th Century, a place and time full of great political tension. Old regimes were clinging on to power and new ones were eager to establish themselves. Many citizens of Europe were forced to decide which moral compass they wished to adopt, and both Jessica and Diana were quick to make that decision. Both fiercely competitive, each sister sought out her own distinct identity and clashed with the other siblings as a result. Like so many others of their era, their personal and political lives became so entwined that they ultimately shattered the once strong and loving bonds of sisterhood.

They weren’t rich but were privileged bc they belonged to the aristocracy. That alone opened doors unavailable to the average people of their means. There has always been poor aristocrats bc those titles last for generations or hundreds of years. There’s even Dukes who are poor. The Duke of Cardigan gives tours of England bc the family fortune was squandered over the ages. They’ll have these huge houses that they can no longer keep up and turn into ruins. That’s why so many country homes were torn down in the 50’s. The government bailed some country homes out if their architecture was important and one of a kind. Now many of those aristocrats survive on the money of tourists in order to upkeep the house. Plus the fact the house are protected, those aristocratic homes are safe forever.

The issue is, that the people who call themselves the aristocracy, feel they are royalty, and above everyone else. Calling yourself sir, lord, queen, king, prince, princess, duke, or dutchess, or any other honorary title is the problem, because they were born to think thet were entitled, but they are not. Also, communist, or fascist, makes no difference. Look at hiler, mussolini, stali, marx, or any other of these figures, they treated the citizen's badly. Thanks for the documentary, interesting subject.

If you mean the subtitles, they're probably auto-generated, which means that a computer is doing its best to listen to the audio and translate it to text. It's usually *pretty* good until it comes to names. Channel owners do have the option of editing the closed captioning, but it's a laborious and time-consuming process. Also, you can turn the closed captioning off. If you either tap or hover your mouse over your screen, a little "CC" in a box should appear. That's the closed-captioning toggle.
