In Nagaland, there appears to be no recognition of mental health issues. If anyone experiences mental health concerns, their family typically sends them to a prayer center.

Some months ago ,this year ,we went to Psychiatrist at NHK with one of our relative ,what I saw in the 2022 to 2023 chart at the Doctor's chamber entrance wall ,the monthly patient was around 130 to 175 ,so people in Kohima are very much aware of their mental health . I saw students on uniforms and glad that they are seeking help on time.

Prayer home only solution😢😢😢. Need to educate more public on mental health issues culminating to suicidal and substance abuse in the society.

Aya dont be so small minded think big this world is not our home and we dont belong to the world . Teach your children to pray so when they are in distress they wont go to the world but they would pray and ask for wisdom. Mental health is real just try not to go into despair. Whatever hardeship u face or failure will only amke u stronger and powerfull. Make ur mind strong.

I appreciate and commend your initiative in spreading awareness about mental illness. 👏Your efforts are crucial in breaking the stigma and educating the public. However, I noticed there was quite a bit of giggling during the discussion. While I understand that humor can be a coping mechanism, it might come across as insensitive given the serious nature of the topic. Please consider maintaining a more solemn tone to ensure the message is received with the gravity it deserves. Thank you for your important work! Much love!

Kudos for talking about mental health. As someone has mentioned, it is ironic that due to lack of awareness, we fail to identify mental illness and direct most people with mental issues to prayer centres. It is time we realize that God has created us as a multifaceted beings and therefore mental illness is just as real as physical illness. Thank you for this talk.

The psychologist should not buttin anytime whenever others are talking....at least wait for others to complete their sentence. Otherwise, a very meaningful and needed subject.

On the contrary, her perspectives helped break down many complex technical expressions the other doctor was using, which we ordinary people do have many ideas about. If you look at their interaction, the doctor keeps looking at the psychologist as if seeking validation while she is talking. You can see that from the first question itself. Maybe you need to read more into non-verbal cues before writing such a comment.

Trust me! Don't waste your time watching this podcast, there are tons and tons of others videos out there which will explain mental illness in simple laymen English. Here, in these podcast they are both highly educated and well spoken with sweet accents but trust me the general public will not understand 50% of the terminology they use and the scientific explanation. No hatred against the podcast but mental illness fairly being a new subject for the Nagas, it should be first taught in the simplest terminology and language with local examples so that people can relate and understand it. And them giggling in between conversations is abit turn off with the topic being an important and serious issue. Me being a victim of anxiety and depression, I have watched all the possible videos available in KZbin about mental illness and trust me, there are better videos out there where they will make you understand in simple layman language. Listening to them, I hope their patients are being spoken to in Nagamese language and not with those psychologist and scientific terms. Couldn't watch till the end, couldn't relate with my experience (survived anxiety and depression 😊) Anyhow, they both look pretty, sounds highly educated, have a really nice and soft soothing accent and wish them all the best in their careers and hope plentiful patients gets treated well by y'all. And Lungleng, you the best man❤ Peace!

Too noisy with intereuptions and truly like a China radio. I guess the psychiatrist must have studied from RIMS, Imphal, looking at her knowledge, as NIMHANS, CIP, AIIMS.......passout would not talk likewise. And i hope that the psychologist is a clinical psychologist who has studied from a medical college- NIMHANS, CIP, IHBAS, AIIMS, PGI-Delhi..... or else the she should not be practicing as she requires an RCI registration to practice and do psychological tests.
@niutolituccu5574
@niutolituccu5574 6 ай бұрын
@sentpol To conduct a mental health test, a practitioner must have an RCI license; conducting such tests without this license is illegal. Just as doctors need an MCI/IMC license and nurses in India need an INC license, mental health experts require a license from the RCI to conduct mental illness tests.
