I would also love to see a video maybe about NC places that are available publicly and also items that could/may be needed that would be awesome. I've recently purchased the Gordon High Precision metal detector ($149.99) from Harbor Freight to start my endeavors!

@@xDATxGAMERx as with any new machine regardless of the brand, it is important to learn the capabilities of your detector. For starters, I would recommend a park with tot lots. Coins and rings are commonly lost in the mulch. State and National parks are off limits, but city and county parks are fair game. Go to the Parks and Recreation website in your county to see if they publicly posted any restrictions. To find the old stuff, a fair amount of research would be in order. Look for my video "Map Recon 101" that should help you with a research starting point. Good luck out there. I hope you find some treasure.
