Me and my wife think David is the best character in the whole show, he makes me laugh with his upbeat manner and swearing outbursts. Also love his dad constantly telling him off and then his punchy return lines. Hope the Cockfields continues.

Yes, the writing was great. Joe and David really captured the family experience. Like you say, such a shame there won’t be a 3rd. The first series is now on IPlayer so I’m hoping S2 will follow at some point! All the best, Ben

Comments were made about the length of my trousers. Cockfields is a classic, and David is just so likeable. Really hoped there would be 1 more episode with the wedding and David and Lynn getting together. But then again the Christmas special from last year is perfect. I was blubbing at the end. Goes without saying.

David is just a great, endearing and funny character. Shame there will be no more episodes. Reading the IMDb reviews is almost as funny as the show itself, half of people hate it, half love it! I only discovered Cockfields after watching After Life and seeing what the funnier peeps were up to, David, Joe and Diane are all great but Ben excellently realised a persona and was the funniest chap to me. To be honest, no offence to Ricky, I enjoyed Cockfields a lot more.
