Not just 6000 islands. Greece has 80% mountains, and 20% of ALL of Europe's Ultra peak mountains. Greece is divine and drop-dead gorgeous all across the country. The 6000 islands of Greece make up 20% of Greece's total landsurface area. The mainland is 80% of the total surface area and full with gorgeous landscapes and spectacular nature everywhere. Greece has the highest biodiversity, and also 16.000 km of the most crystal clear coastlines, unparalleled in the Mediterranean. Greece has a combination of Mountains, landscapes, incredibly complex geography, history, seascapes, etc that is unique and no other Mediterranean country combines it as gorgeously as Greece does

I love Greece and I was a frequent visitor who always stayed at hotels in Greece, at least 60 days each year. But I will not visit Greece until the documents about Covid, and all the questions about vaccines and also all restrictions will be removed. See you in 1 year! Or 10 years? Next time you visit Greece I suggest you visit Kephalonia and the western/north western part of Crete. The rugged landscape and old town of Chania will take your breath away.

You too are cute! I enjoyed your video. Greece is almost for everyone providing you have no limitations in mobility. I love swimming, boating, and hiking. Athens is so often overlooked with tourists wanting to see the typical islands. Greece is a surprise around every corner, food and the hospitality is what makes me want to go back. I felt more comfortable there with a pandemic than visiting a state in my own country. The case counts were nothing compared to a state in the US. I got a QR code for the PLF but they were more concerned that we were vaccinated.

Unreal! My wife and I want this itinerary! How did you fit all that in 7 days? I love the driving in between destinations. What a great way to see more including surprises at wrong turns. 😊👍 Do have a question though… Seems you two intentionally drove past destinations only to return, if that makes any sense. Wow this made us so happy!! We had 2 travel days for the long flights so we didn't count those 🙂 we did have to loop around a bit! We added zakynthos a little last minute (after we had bought our Santorini flights) which made some looping around! A possibly better loop would be to do Meteora after Zakynthos and take the different driving route, the drive down from Meteora (stop by Delphi!! We ran out of time) to then do Athens, then you can catch your Santorini flight! Another option is to drive up to Thessaloniki to fly to Santorini. I've been to Thessaloniki once before and wasn't super impressed so we opted to skip that this time!

@@JaychelAdventure Thanks so much for the reply! We've been having a ball playing around with different types of itinerary. I believe we've come to a partial decision with few destinations that will be on our "must see" list. Athens, Santorini and Milos. So, we're on our way so to speak. My wife has been to Greece a few times many years ago. She's the one that first put it in my head. She's told me how hot it can get which doesn't really bother us; however, I believe we're going to aim for the end of August so we're pretty much guaranteed to get some summer but with the possibility of a maybe a little cooling off the closer to September we get. We're getting excited! Thanks again, you two are great!

Nice vid! Very interesting the places you picked to visit, i think for the number of days you had, it was a great choice! Zakynthos is a very good example of the Ionian Islands (not the best, not the worst), Santorini and Meteora are two of the most unique places in Greece and absolutely worth visiting. Nafplio is nice place but there are other more worthy locations, and Athens is Athens. Lovely video, nice footage and good editing, if you're getting into travel vlogging you should include a bit more of yourselves talking on camera though. Thank you for the great video, I wish all the tourists were like you guys...

@@marcokillewald that is a hard question :-) well it does depend a bit on when are you talking about, Chalkidiki has amazing beaches, Ionian islands as well and are very green but get very busy. Depending on the month different places offer different things.

Congrats on. climbing 999 steps and the excellent footage. You sure managed to do a lot of things in 7 days. The water in hot spa in santorini is red/brownish due to sulphur. And your swimsuit will be too after swimming there.
