So many happy memories from there. Grandparents arriving by train, staying in St Mawgan in a guesthouse. Playing the chip and putt course at St Mawgan Porth. My Grandmother beating me in the final of the crazy golf, I must have been 8. Dad going out in the first round! LOL Not to mention the Nimrods going out at 5:30am every morning on their sweep. Plus the airshow and a Vulcan doing a full throttle climb on a fly past. Endless sun and endless beaches. I wonder if the Bonsai place is still there?

Hi there my friend x if you mean the Japanese garden then yes it’s still there and yes they specialise in Bonsai trees still.

@@BIGOGGIEGOLF It wasn't there when I was a kid obviously but glad to hear it's still going. I'm sure one year we will be back. Hard to find a place that takes 2 dogs though. Most rentals are for more poeple anyway.

I think the bonsai collections belonged to the mum and dad and then the son got involved and created the Japanese garden. The have an online website and I think you can purchase bonsai and various acer trees etc too. Yes two dogs does make it tricky x but it would be great to see you down here anytime my friend x

@@BIGOGGIEGOLF I'm in Bude in August for 2 weeks. The clubs will come with me. Planning to play Royal North Devon (not cheap) and Bowood Park. If the sun shines and i get permission for a 3rd round I will play Bude again. Might sneak off to Holesworthy too.

You will probably remember surf side stores , I stayed at Cozy Corner caravan site from aged 8 in the early seventies on holiday from Derby . Loved the place , just moved to wadebridge and joined Merlin for old times sake.

A very friendly club, Alf really enjoyed playing there in June. I use shot scope which helps track you shots and distances along with data on putting fairways ht etc. Been very helpful to ALF and my game when coming to club selection, and builds up your gapping

Hi David it’s a hill top so maybe not as exciting or dynamic as some courses but there are some water hazards abs hidden tee shots to deal with. And some strong slopes at times. Also the wind here can destroy ones game very quickly. Certainly not a big field in any way.
