I'm glad you still had a wonderful birthday even if you're alone. I am lucky this year that my birthday, which is tomorrow falls on our spring break. My son and I usually eat out (The Cheesecake Factory for the past 3 years) and then we go home. I also get myself a birthday present which I already did last Monday. I've lived abroad since 2008 so I'm used to having birthdays by myself and now with my son. Occasions like these remind me to be grateful for what I have.

I used to believe that celebrating moments like this was impossible when you're alone. I believe I'm almost done with the hardest times of managing life on my own. I'm happy that I grasped the fact that there are numerous reasons to continue celebrating. It wasn't so bad after all. At siyempre, happy birthday po! Your son and you will have a fun-filled day tomorrow, I'm sure.
