Normal? Yes. Healthy? No. Shaming a kid for underperforming isn't okay, regardless of context. It's funny here because it's a comedy skit, but irl that teacher could get in some really serious trouble for talking to a student like that. The correct response would be to get the kid some help so that they understand that their advances are wrong and could get the teacher in a lot of trouble while reinforcing that the kid is gonna be okay. Of course, that would only be in a society where mental health is taken seriously...which is currently none on the planet.

OMG, this is Ms. Parham, my math teacher from 8th grade! She was a young, gorgeous black woman whom the boys loved and the girls wanted to be. She was also tough as nails. We aren't a monolith, yet one thing that is common among the vast majority of Black people (Black women, in particular) is that we tend to separate our business and personal lives. We don't go to work looking for friends and relationships like other women do. That's why you'll rarely see a Black woman teacher deciding to be a pedophile. She won't fuck up her money, her family or her life. Historically, Black Women have never had the luxury of doing selfish shit. Also, I have not seen anyone mention it, but this is a spoof of the A Teacher drama miniseries on Hulu, with Nick Robinson and Kate Mara.
