Seeing the inputs has helped me discover that quickswitching on console must inherently work different than on PC like it should. Holding down the mod button while switching on console simply does not activate the mod, destroying the timing on PB combos. I'm still angry that id wont add support to defining custom inputs on console instead of rebinding so that we could actually use mouse and keyboard too. I'm guessing it was simply a mistake to try to go about playing D:E "affordably"

I'm not a high-level player, but for switching between two weapons quickly I use the "switch weapon / weapon wheel" input, bound to a mouse thumb button. It makes 2-weapon combos very easy, as you can fire and swap with one wave of movement on just one hand, and it doesn't even compromise your other hand at all during that time. Only problem with it right now is a bug that sometimes makes the weapon wheel open even on the slightest tap of the button if you press it with certain rhythms (even at max delay setting), which cancels the weapon switch when it happens, but I've reported it to Josh and they'll supposedly look into it.

@@hardcore-zadrot That seems to be a different thing, but might be related (could be indirectly causing the bug). I sent a report to Josh and he said he forwarded it ti the guys. That doesn't necessarily mean it will get fixed, but it still is something. I'd be glad if a weapon switching feature that has been present in games for over two decades (previously selected weapon) didn't get constantly ruined by a bug in this game. I don't think it's really acceptable for such a simple control to be unreliable.

I believe that holding down right mouse button before switching to shotgun will activate the sticky mode faster, unless your talking about switch speed in general which is the suit upgrade.

as Absolute Pineapple said, if you hold mouse 2 the combat shotgun animation goes off pretty much instantly. This is true also for pb into full-auto quickswap

Use keybinds, with scroll wheel you'll never improve. Instead, use scroll up for melee and scroll down for jumping (not possible without unlocking console commands)

The rockets don't actually originate from the rocket launcher, they originate a little bit closer to the middle of the screen. This is changed when using classic viewmodels, however.
