Man that plant looks good in there!

It's one of my favorite plants. It also has a day and night cycle, with the leaves closing when it gets dark

@@glassyGREEN_ The common variety Mimosa pudica is one of my most hatesd plants! It's an annoying weed in Australia. I've pulled so many thorns out of my feet over the years! This one is stunning though, I've yet to see them for sale here in Poland though. I'll have to keep an eye out for them. Do they grow fast?

@@IndoorEcosystem Oh man, another thing that is trying to kill you in australia :D They actually stay that small with a maximum of approx. 20 cm. They bloom almost constantly and are self-fertile, producing seeds that "explode" and go everywhere. In this jar, one of the seeds has landed in the lid and germinated there. :D There are a few german shops that sell them. Maybe you can buy it from them or just the seeds?

Thats neat! Are these good beginner terrarium plants?

Yes, the Biophytum is very easy to care for and reproduces itself easily.

Thanks! I was thinking of sowing a few inside of a demijohn. I was also thinking of adding some moss surrounding where the biophytum sensitivum will grow. Not sure which moss would do the best with biophytum sensitivum, though

@darth-lk8gs will you make a closed terrarium? Many aquatic mosses like Christmasmoss or javamoss do very well in an environment with very high humidity
@darth-lk8gs3 ай бұрын
@@glassyGREEN_ It'll be a closed terrarium. Javamoss is a good idea! I'll also be putting isopods, and springtails inside.

@darth-lk8gs that sounds like a great plan. You can cut the moss into small pieces and spread them on the substrate to cover everything. Do you know which isopod species you will add? Some of them will eat live plants. Have fun building your new terrarium 😊 if you need some inspiration, I also made a demijohn terrarium in my latest video

Where are you from? You can buy them from eBay, Facebook marketplace or any plant/terrarium shop.
