The hardscape on that garden is amazing...then add the plants, the rocks and crystals, the statues & brick-a-bract...I just loved it! I hope Home looks at our comments. I just admire him and his efforts so much. I have often thought of plants as sculptural...he put it so succinctly when he referred to them as living art. Also, I concur with Howan Cheng...you are our Plant lady Indiana Jones! Thanks so much for this content.

It takes a lot of charm and wit and plant knowledge to engage these plant 'gods' to talk, much more to let you in on their private collections. Even more difficult with the language barrier. You have amazing conversational and social skills, I must say. I love your videos a lot.

As per usual, Summer is a genius in her pursuits of bringing her viewers the most incredibly beautiful and rare plants found in the most interesting locations on the planet. Always asking the right questions of her guides to give us a richer experience. It was a truly wonderful field-trip and I can’t wait to see the rest of his garden. It would, however, have been so much more enjoyable if someone had handed Thai collector a tissue.

Thank you so much Summer for making these videos. Living in the States, I sometimes feel this country values pavement over plants. It reassures me to see other places that still value the latter. That you and others are exposing people to plants via social media is critical to raise awareness of how important plants are to all of us. I am part of the generation of plant collectors that existed before social media and to have access to plant culture from all over the world is so exciting. I love to see the increasing popularity of collecting plants thanks to this platform. I still don't know how you are able to remain calm and even talk in the presence of such an extraordinary collection. Keep up the good work, it's important.

I’m really enjoying Home’s enthusiasm and generosity of knowledge. I closely related to him sharing his love of plants by landscaping and beautifying the local temples, which enhances their spiritual atmosphere. For decades I have done interior and exterior landscaping of meditation centers and peace gardens, thus increasing people’s enjoyment and deepening their experience of those sacred spaces. ~ This past year I’ve delved deep into studying and growing many species from South Africa and Madagascar, so I greatly appreciated his magnificent specimens of euphorbia, Pachypodium, etc., especially his Decarya madagascariensis . ( I have to go garden while the sun is shining. I will have more to comment on concerning the second half of this video.)

Wow! Seriously what an incredible tour. He is so kind to share it with all of us. I remember your walk through the market with him and I wondered what his house might look like! And.... here it is! Summer, this episode was fantastic. Home's house and collection is spectacular. Right from the start it brought back such great memories for me of my time in Florida. I had over 100 different species and cultivars of Adeniums most of which i purchased from Thailand. The Welwitschia mirabilis blew me away. I had grown several from seed and was expecting them to be very slow so was really surprised to see how huge it was after only 6 years. Sadly I lost all of mine in a hurricane. I also had many Pachypodiums. I had several that had grown to over 8 feet before I moved. I had a Decarya madacascariensis that had grown to about 4 foot, no nesting birds but a big skink lived under it and would bask on a large chunk of coral rock underneath it. I also had 2 big bonsai pots completely filled with Euphorbia decaryi. It grew tight to the ground and made a solid mat in the pots. At the end the Croton socotranus was really interesting. I had several of what we called Thai crotons that had more roundish leaves but the colors were dark and super intense. I really enjoy seeing other collectors houses , gardens and collections. Can't wait to see more!

Dr. Chanin Thorut was really well revered in Thai's plant word for his words to influence the thrend. Sad they don't have him now. Anyway, I'm jealous of his home. Lol I wish my family appreciates what I love but unfortunately they aren't enthusiastic about it. So much respect for the Thai horticulturist for making so many beautiful varieties of these plants. They must love plants so much.

Also, he reminded me of a very young grower/collector of miniature orchids I visited last summer in Colombia. He had started his collection at 13 after reading a book.
