A lot of people gave their lives to Christ after watching it and for those of us who are already saved, it helps to strengthen our faith. *JESUS is COMING SOON!* Around 2 years ago I was out riding my bike along a spot that I'm not too familiar with; I was intently focused on the sidewalk to avoid the pieces of glass, so as to not ride over them. Out of nowhere, I felt that "not home" feeling and didn't like it; as if I am alien to this place. So I started to tell myself *"Well, Jesus is..."* (with me wherever I go) but before I could finish that sentence aloud, my head involuntarily turned to the right and saw a big sign in the grass: "COMING SOON!", thus completing my sentence aloud: "Well, Jesus is *COMING SOON!"* Quickly I burst into laughter at the timing of this. It was *seamless.* So I went home and called my mother on the phone and told her about it. She quickly said to me: *"That's confirmation!"* - As *soon as she said that,* the memory was brought to my conscious mind that I prayed, *just two days before,* asking the Lord if He really told my mother: *"Soon, child, soon."* bass / baritone range, and cannot scream even close to that pitch in the dream. I learned later in the day that, just 2 days before my dream, *NY* lit up the *One World Trade* center building *PINK,* _IN CELEBRATION OF_ being able to kill babies in the womb at 9+ months! I was shocked (and disgusted) at how this was the confirmation to my dream. Will we be here to see this? I assumed so, or else I see no other reason why the Lord would show me this dream. With La Palma erupting now, and many have said for decades that if it falls into the ocean, it could cause a tsunami to hit the east coast of the U.S., this might be the tsunami that was shown to me in my dream. Only time will tell, but the timing is amazing. Only a couple of years later this is happening! I believe the tsunami has a connection to the timing of Jesus coming to rapture us out. It could be the sign! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I've been born again since 1996 (at age 17) and my mother has been born again since the early-mid 1970s (her early-mid 20s). We've both had multiple experiences and words from the Lord over the years (about current situations at those times) but *never about anything concerning end times.* Only in the last couple of years did He wake us up to this. So let's keep watch. :)

I got saved in 73 the same yr. this movie was made.I was almost 20, long hair, smoking weed in the park and a preacher man came through. I felt drawn to go and hear what he had to say, so I went while my buddies were laughing and calling me a Jesus freak. My first persecution and I got saved that night. I encourage you to study scripture for yourself and remove anything you've been taught. Here's a few scriptures. The coming and those sealed The Revelation chapters 6 and 7. First Corinthians chapter 15 last trumpet revealed in The Revelation chapter 11. First Thessalonians 4:13-17 the dead rise after the millenniul reign The Revelation chapter 20. The wicked are taken out and destroyed Isaiah chapter 13 Mathew chapter 13. At some point we're taken after the last trumpet to the sea of glass The Revelation 15:2. I am a believer in Christ and the plan of salvation and saw this movie at my church in the early eighty's. I just does not sit well with me the impression the movie gives. I don't believe that our Heavenly Father was TS us to run to Him out of fear like a fire insurance policy if that makes sense. I believe that the Lord wants our hearts and faith to be given to Him out of love and free will. I'm not trying to cut down the fact that the movie could have truly helped some become saved later on in life but I just don't think in fear is going to cut it.

I sang that song in church in the 70s. My impression after watching this movie for the first time now, is that something is wrong with the pretrib rapture idea. People who are left behind should be able to pray, repent, and refuse the mark and accept Jesus. I believe there will be a remnant who will come to faith during the tribulation. The shepherd would leave the flock to go find the ONE lost sheep. HE doesn't want any to perish and would have mercy on those who seek him.

I saw this in my church as a kid about 7 years old. Scared me to death but I never forgot about it. Last year I gave my life to Jesus and I'm just glad I did it in time! Please, if you haven't given your life to Jesus, do it before it's too late bc whether you believe in Jesus or not, He is coming back to take his people. It’s based off a type of “preaching” from the great awakening era that basically focused on scaring people into Christianity by telling them they’re going to Hell and how bad Hell is. This movie does the same thing but also gives a persecution complex to people where it tries to scare us into thinking this movie is exactly going to happen. This is like a fantasy where the reality of the book of revelations may be something different. When I say American Christianity, I’m talking about this weird culture that was formed that is based on rejecting any kind of logic and the idea that each individual is their own church”. Basically Luther’s Protestantism, which is in all actuality heresy in Christianity. How can someone be called Christian if they don’t even read their Bible? Instead “Christian’s” rely on media like this movie to “teach” them what in the Bible and all that matters to them is “I know Jesus so I’m saved”. How could you know Jesus even exists if you don’t pick up the Bible? There is no want to learn amongst these people beyond this and it’s quite lazy and leads to an uneducated view on Christianity. In truth, it’s tainted because it let America seep into it. My allegiance is to God, not the constitution.

My Mother told me about this creepy movie about People being left behind after the rapture she watched when she and my aunt watched it at a church camp on a reel projector in the 1970's as kids. She really wanted me to see the series. She kept saying "Left Behind", but I'm pretty sure she confused these movies with the Left Behind movies with Kirk Cameron. When I found this with the information she gave me about the movie this came up. I showed it to her and she was shocked that it actually hit dvd due to it being on a reel like a 'camp movie'. Incidentally if anyone has ever used that word "campy" for a film that's literally where the name came from; old reel films that you'd watch in a summer camp or church camp, etc. that really wouldn't be expected in theaters and so forth. A lot of them if I am correct were actually made for such events. I'm really glad this one made it. I got to watch something with my mother she watched as a child in my 40's. Back in the 1970's the movies made for suspense and horror were waaaaaay different from what have today. Of course... gratuitous retarded violence and sex isn't my thing.... anymore. I was quite the connoisseur of horror movies once upon a time until I came to The Lord. You know what's interesting though? I was so desensitized to that crap I could watch almost anything and not be phased by the content. I remember in my early 20's my buddies and I would have conversations and hoo-ha's about "The Death Scenes". It's interesting how after we come to The Lord that those kinds of things are absolutely repulsive. He really does change the mind and the heart.... if we let him.... and don't fight The Holy Spirit. As an adult I am still a Christian but for many many many years this movie pushed me away from religion, unlike so many of these people saying it drew them closer to it. My parents were southern baptists from the Bible belt so you can just imagine the things I was taught. Even playing a card game of gold fish was a sin. Dancing was a sin and I loved to dance. I'm so glad I didn't inflict this on my own children They are the ones who helped me see the truth and the light.

I'm here to deal with some of the trauma I'm still carrying around in my 52-year-old body as a result of watching this as a loving, earnest, sincere, Jesus-loving little gay boy in the early 80s. Multiple trips down the aisle to "make sure" I was saved, calling out for my parents every night to make sure that I hadn't been "left behind." Ugh. I know the creators of this film had good intentions, as did my parents and my church leaders. And it caused so much harm to so many people. Both things are true, all at the same time. This movie traumatized me as a child. Anytime I couldn’t find my parents for more than a couple of minutes images from it flashed in my head. The scariest part is the notion that even someone who thinks they are saved could not be, and as a young believer it left me with an unshakable feeling of doubt and subsequently, terror. It’s classified as “evangelical Christian horror” for a reason. I’m glad that the church has generally moved away from conversion through fear (in other words, coercion), especially when it comes to young children. Looking back it doesn’t sit right with me.

I actually thank GOD for growing up with this movie in the back of my mind. It’s kept me on my toes and brings me back to repentance every time i remember it. Your missing the point, Jesus Message in Mathew 24 and to John in Revelation, you would know this message is to prepare you not to scare you, if you truly believe in your heart that Jesus came to this Earth to take away man's sin and give us eternal life from the spilling of his blood he was reserected and ascended into Heaven, and will return to rule Earth after destroying the Al Mahdi, the antichrist as Christians know him, and destroy all the nations that surround and come against Jerusalem and the Jewish Nation, then you will be snatched away out of harms way, to avoid God's seven year wrath on the Earth,

I don't know if Patty Dunning has done any interviews about the movie or not but for the most part all the actors were excellent. (Keep in mind this is a 70's movie.). Someone said she is a physical therapist but maybe she is married to Steven Dunning who is a physical therapist in Iowa. This movie deserves high remarks for being well made.

My church had us watch this when I was a kid. I was terrified. I think that's when I realized what the fear of the Lord was as a kid. The song stuck with me all of this time as well.

i watched this movie when i was 14yo at the school, did not understand then but had a great impact in my life. Thank God to that church came to that night to show a film like this. if would not them dunno where i would be now. Praise Jesus. Now i am passing this video again to the next generation, who would thought could be same scenario as mine, 34 years ago.
