Van, This video is amazing. Your “Bad Week” simple video is exactly what we’re all here for. Your cameras falling over, and mundane chores are exactly why I watch for some reason. Your honesty. Thank you. My life keeps getting more functional and organized thanks to these videos. I feel more normal thanks to you… or more comfortable with my uniqueness.

Thanks for this. For some reason, people don’t talk about bad weeks, bad days or bad moments. It’s almost cliche in today’s society. I’m waiting for lab results to find out if I have a rare blood cancer and it’s been a challenge. I have the mindset that it is what it is and I am blessed no matter what, but there are still hard days and a constant weight in my chest. I ordered the Die Trying hoodie and will wear it with pride. Keep doing what you do.

Great work Van, I’m an east coast guy of a similar age and Diner’s hold that same place in my heart. I’ve ridden the PCH, for me it was the universe cancelling my flight due to a snow storm. That of course means heading strait to the nearest motorcycle rental shop and riding up and down the PCH for two days in January. Fortunately I’m from Maine so January on the coast of California feels like spring in Maine. Good memories made.

The Angeles Crest Highway was my vice of choice for the past six years, my daily commute to work until Covid. The morning drive was always a moment of zen during the climb over the mountain pass and into Los Angeles. Often, the Spirited Man motorcycle diaries remind me of these meditative moments that I always experienced but could never do them justice by explaining them to someone else. Your videos, but most importantly the voiceover narration, always remind me of these drives and the ideas I got to explore before I had to step back into the real world and tackle the grind. Thank you for another great episode!

Yeah you know, I was just thinking about the diner near my apartment back in NYC. It was a greek diner. The front was filled with fresh baked cakes and cookies. I always went for the breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage and homefries. With black coffee and a few slices of buttered toast. I live out of US now so , yeah no greek diners. I always think back how happy it was just to eat breakfast inside that diner.

I gotta get another bike soon, I miss it so much. Sold mine about a year ago. Clears the head and soothes the soul being open to the wind, connected to the road and alone with your thoughts. And then the insane acceleration brings a smile every time I go WOT and rip through the gears. Sometimes even an audible laugh.
