Even to support the Maple Leaf team there was a poor attendance considering the stadium capacity.

Time for World Rugby to find some pro marketers for the women’s game. This tournament was a creative idea. Hold matches at different venues not necessarily in the home nation of the competing teams. But you can’t showcase your product to an empty stadium with no media coverage. I follow rugby, but heard nothing about this tournament in advance. There were no media stories at all. No promotion. Seems like a waste.

A world cup game with a smaller crowd than an English National League 2 fixture... Its either very poor organisation and marketing or the wrong country to hold this competition.
