This is the 1st time we ever hear the word *Familiar*. Its only in s5 we get the full scope of them. By the book. "Enchanted creatures who follow and guide new witches to protect them while they learn the Craft. While they r often cats, other animals, like dogs, rabbits, horses and snakes can be familiars as well. Familiars r naturally attuned to the seasons and phases of the moon and can be helpful in teaching the young witch a heightened awareness of her environment." Horses have to b rare, I bet. And only for witches that own a ranch or farm. When a familiar has done *SO* well, their rewarded by becoming humans, to guid and train new familiars, with animal like powers related to their former selves. If they betray their witch, they turn into warlock and kill their former master's to take his/her's power. Shadow here got Projective Levitation, to makes things rise up and nothing else. They have until the upcoming new moon, not full, to die a number of times to gain immortality; sheding away all parts of former themsevles. If they fail, they b animals again forever. Cats like him, must die 9 times, so immortality is considered a 10th life. Who knows how many lives the other animals have. Aditionally, Tuatha's snake was her's. Which means there r those that'll guide u down the path of evil. Or maybe she choose that and her snake stayed by her side.

Yea she did in season 6 but the show, as always depowers or ignores Phoebe's ability. They made her pretty strong later on in the series too. It's a shame.

@BlackGirlMarvel 1 Well, To be honest, Projective Levitation which The Shadow, as Ariel's Former Familiar took from Ariel was originally supposed to go to Prudence due to its similarity to Telekinesis. Levitation. Hovering. Flight. Floating. And Rising can help allows you to dodge physical attacks as Powerful Seer so it makes more sense for Phoebe to get Levitation. Hovering. Flight. Floating. And Rising since this could mean Precognitive Combat before her Levitation will allow her to physically dodge opponents in the future like Victoria From The Twilight. And Astral Projection is essentially Astral Syncognition thanks to which consciousness can travel in the present and not in the future as in cases of Astral Precognition and that is why Phoebe should receive Astral Projection and not Prudence.

Not true ...She had the power of empathy in season 6 which she channels a demons powers and use it against them based off the urge to kill but lost it due to miss use of her powers

@joselinaduran3972 Well, Apparently Phoebe was deliberately deprived of Empathy so that she could not use it to sense the evil inside Christy. Not to mention that, Phoebe should literally could Deviation. And Deflection instead of giving these two abilities to Prudence. And Vivian. Phoebe had no active combat abilities but, thanks to Deviation. And Deflection she could finally stop being completely dependent on her sisters to always save her. And will protect. Molecular Deceleration. And Molecular Immobilisation would also be more suitable for Phoebe with which she could stop attacks. And the movements of the demons before that her Molecular Deceleration. And Molecular Immobilization evolves into Time Reduction. Into Time Stopping. Into Time Travel. And into Chronokinesis. And Piper should have been given Molecular Combustion which was to evolve into Jean's Disintegration From The Last Stand. And From The Dark Phoenix.
