I've seen numerous videos on kittens with peralysis in back legs like this little one. They taped each back leg and then helped the kitten walk. The tape gave each leg some strength and they used physical therapy to get the kitten's legs stronger so they could walk on all fours. ?

My Husbands dog had puppy's and one came out feet first, he wasn't able to walk . So I put a leash around he's tummy and held him up enough for his feet to grab the carpet, and I work with him every day for a few min... and now to this day 8 years later he is running, playing as if nothing was ever wrong with him. :) True Story.

She probably wont. While she can move her legs, there seems to be some limit. As in she can't control enough of her legs to walk properly. In the end of the vid, we see her as, 2-3 months old, ish. And she is still dragging her feet, so that has become her normal way of getting around, she has gotten used to it and developed the habit of moving around like that. On the good side! If the owners go in for it, add ramps here and there so she or any cat with paralyzed back legs, they can live very rich and enjoyable lives! They don't care that they can't move those legs, they don't spend time thinking about all the things they could do if they could. Like we humans tend to do. "If only X was changed/not holding me back" etc etc. They live in the moment, not the past or the future.

Violet is such a precious kitty. Her owner was helping her along with some physio to encourage her to use her legs. Very good. I was a bit worried about the hyper bigger black cat that was scaring Violet. About her legs, has she been to the vet? What is her prognosis? I'm so sad she's still dragging herself along. I cry for Violet. She's just gorgeous. Thank you for adopting her. God will bless you.

This is a rare condition in kttins, I can't remember what its called, I think is swimmer something. The kittenlady had one awhile back and that one regained use of its legs with a lot of PT. Look back a her videos u may be able to find it. She is a sweet baby, she is lucky to have such caring people looking after her.

She (the kitten) should be taken to your nearest vet, and have her situation of her back legs checked-out and examined immediately. Otherwise her situation will NOT improve, and will only get worse as time goes by.

It looks like Swimmer's Syndrome. Not every vet knows what to do about Swimmer's Syndrome. Kitten Lady had to put braces every day on a kitten with Swimmer's before the kitten could walk properly.

That was so interesting to see movement in both legs then pulling them in crinkling her toes. I hope she will be able to, in her time, build muscles and try the walking in hydrotherapy. She is so sweet. Violet really fits her. Thanks to all for helping her.

When my Gizmo had her three kittens Golden boy couldn't walk just like this cat here in the article and me and my boyfriend at the time helped him was helping him to walk they call it swimmers legs well I had moved I couldn't take him with me so I gave him to him hey you told me about 2 months later he called me and let me know he was walking like a normal cat and he was fine God bless Violet and Golden boy

Violet's mum cat was not cruel in my book, she just didn't know what to do for her baby. Maybe she knew this precious kitten would be found by good-hearted people who would be able to help her. And Violet clearly isn't letting her handicap stop her - she has the strength of a tigeress. 😸 You're an awesome, amazing kitten, Violet! Just wondering, this might be swimmers leg syndrome. A splint made to hold both legs up helps build leg muscle. I had to do that with a foster kitten of mine. After a few weeks she walks normal now. It looked like this kitten is trying to walk. Like I said just wondering, e don't know what the Vet said.

The bigger black kitten is full of energy. They are so cute. I’ve seen videos where the kitten is laid down on its back and then you take each foot in each of your hands and help them to work it with gentle pull and push, whereby they learn to push. Thereby making them stronger. Hard to describe, but I think my description makes enough sense.

What a beautiful precious kitten ! There are many videos out there for animals cats and dogs who cant use their back legs. Please help Violet with getting her the necessary wheels for her legs and therapy like holding her while she would swim use her back legs. What an Amazing kitten.
