I have friends (one is a Pro.) who have the Nikkor 28mm f2.8 & 40mm f2... They were purchased when they came out ... These lenses have been on and off of their cameras very often (sometimes 3-5 times in a day for years) I looked at them and I see no or very, very, very little wear on the plastic mount !!!!! My Pro friend said if he would have a problem, he could afford to buy another at the Inexpensive price (even new).... Sadly I think that this is something that YT Influncers are overly Silly about :( :( :( Other than that I am subscribed and I watch all of Your Videos :) :) :)

Great video again Jimmy. This lens is definitely on my radar. I was thinking about whether i should get the e mount or the z mount version since i have both the A7r5 and Zf. I first thought i could get the e mount version and adapt it to my Zf with the megadap adapter but then i realize the adapter won’t support viltrox lenses so I’ll have to make my decision 🤔

@@johnyoung1606 haha John, i wish i have the extra cash so i don’t have to make the decision. There’s something about the A7r5 that i can’t do with other cameras so it’s a keeper

Hey Jimmy, I have a general photography question about the longevity of the M43 system. I currently shoot on an EM5 III. I bought my camera in 2019, and really like it, but often times I find that my gigs are at clubs at night. I’ve been surprised with the sensor, but I can’t help but wonder how much less grain I’d get if I were shooting 35mm sensor size. I would like to stay in OLYMPUS/ OM SYSYEM, but I was underwhelmed with the Om1 Mark 2. I’ve also got the Olympus 20mm F2.0, but am needing something wider. I think about the 7-14 f2.8 but that’s a whole stop of light lost and over $1000 USD. I’m still just trying to figure stuff out, any advice on this would be appreciated.

Hi, thanks for asking. Well, FF will definitely be less visible noise at equivalent ISO. But I never question M43 in that regards unless I am shooting pass ISO 6400. If you want a faster ultra wide, consider Panasonic 9mm f1.7, a fast option for indoor shot. I love it. OM-1 II is more an internal overhaul than anything, yet, it's significant for those who needs it.

Definitely on my list for lenses to get ASAP. The 50mm f1.8 is sadly in front of it as I have the 24mm, the 35mm, and the 85mm. 50 first then the 20. 😊
