A Title Experiment

This is not a finished product. I just thought I'd take a few minutes for me tonight to play with video. It was a busy work day!
This experiment is with a double green screen.

A translucent foreground (title, pens & the tray) may add more ND flavor by making background a little more prominent

I like it a lot! Might be better with every slot containing a pen. I like how you made the pen bed as the shape of ND and I like the idea of outdoor scenery flying by on the outer edges. And yes, having the scenery in sync with the season would be very nice.

Having a full pen try might work: then I can show the range of my collection rather than just the pens in a particular week.

Playing with this seems like fun! Oddly, something about the motion combined with a stationary element makes me feel a little car sick. 😂 I have no problem watching your driving videos, so I think it's the combination of one thing moving and one thing not moving. (And yes, I do get car sick in real life, unless I can keep my eyes on the road and anticipate what's coming.) I realize you didn't ask for input ...

Thank you for pointing that out. And my feeling is that if I dn't want input, I shouldn't put it out there. This was put out in public for feedback. I'm thinking the background shot will be a video from a tripod of something like blowing snow, a field of sunflowers, wheat rippling in the wind, or something like that. In other words, it would be stationary, but alive. Then I could slowly pan across the pens...once I work out how to do that!

Is there one scene or one iconic place, or building, that could be used as the background? Or what about making a play on Waski Squirrel? Like sbrebrown using a fox?

I'll think about Waski Squirrel. Must be something there! It's North Dakota, one of the least visited states in the nation, so nothing is iconic. But I think a stationary video of a sunflower field or blowing snow, or wheat rippling in the wind would be a decent background.

I agree. I think I'd like a background that's stationary video taken from a tripod. Maybe a scene of blowing snow, a field of sunflowers, or a wheatfield rippling in the wind. Then only the pens truly move.
