Used to ski Mammoth as a kid. Dave McCoy the founder made it such that all kids living in the region could ski the mountain for $1 with $1.75 rentals out of an outfitter shop in Bishop, CA. Loved skiing that mountain. Graduated from HS in 1980.

I worked for mammoth mountain from 1980 thru 83. 3 great years of my life. I wish I never came back to the flatlands.

I liked the touch of, using the music from Five Summer Stories; song "Pipeline" I believe. I lived in Mammoth 1974-1979, and I often played that album. Also worked for the mountain those years.

Sad but simple explanation. US national debt 💸 was around $6 billion or so in 1980. US debt in 2023 is around $23 trillion……. When the federal government’s debt is out of control it shows by making seem like Monopoly money…..
