If it’s plumb, level , to gage it’s fine, blockwork don’t have to be pretty it has to be right , well done young man

It’s facework til it’s covered is a motto I follow and that’s something I tell Ollie

@@RosierConstructionprobably not a bad way to learn. I personally hate jointing up blockwork if the joints are full I can’t sec any use to it.

Great to see someone learning a trade, especially in them conditions. My Builder has had exactly the same problem block work looks terrible, but it’s all level and plum . Just looks messy because of the weather conditions. But it’s going to be rendered and plastered. he’s had the same situation with the blocks we chat to change over we started using top light every other one was cracked and very dusty . But you’re right, even though they package that they come in wet. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Who's ever teaching you should tell you to clean level. Don't pick up his bad habits.

Get a sponge and a bucket and clean that level as you go and don't hit your level....

The amount of time you save by hitting your level far outweighs having to replace it every couple of years. "Don't hit your level" is well intentioned BAD advice.
