I have a couple of black sapote seedlings growing down my way near Newcastle as well as dragon fruit 🐉, jackfruit, mangoes,cherimoya,papaya,etc. There's nothing like having your own exotic or tropical fruit growing for free as my late grandfather who used to grow bananas 🍌 up Mullumbimby way in New South Wales always had free papaya to eat for breakfast as he grew them until he was diagnosed with an allergy to latex. Up at Cairns it's a lot easier to grow tropical fruit because even down my way I have to provide seedling tropical plants with a microclimate during the winter. Plants such as my papayuelo plants actually need filtered shade during the summer as the newly sprouted leaves are easily burner during the summer time when it gets too hot. They're a cold climate mountain papaya which actually grows well during the winter ❄️ time !

I'm so so so jealous. We're heading up north in July starting at the Sunshine Coast and all the way to the Daintree. Stopping at 2 farms tours, one is in the heart of the Daintree. I can't wait. 6 weeks in total.

The prices are so high. Guava $20/kg. There are plenty of lands and water in this region. The prices should be reasonable.

Definetly after teasing us with this video you need to show us at least a taste test of all the new fruits I've never heard of them and tell us to the closest relative fruit (and probably you save some seeds and try growing them)

Great looking market. I know how expensive Australia has supposedly become on the cost of some foods but I was shocked how much SOME of the fruits cost there. Obviously some aren't available here so no way to draw a comparison. I was amazed that absolutely nobody in the market had a mask on, its impressive that that is zero coronavirus in Cairns now. 👍👍

@@mustafaibnabdullah6392 yes it's easier to eradicate it in Australia, small population in a huge land area, not so easy in Europe with our high population density 😣😣
@mustafaibnabdullah63923 жыл бұрын
@@lyonheart84 I didn’t know your population was just 25 million. That’s nuts. Here it’s 17 million. From the lowest part of Holland to its northeast part is just 400km.

5.50$ for a kilo of jackfruit!! I can buy half a dozen of whole jackfruits with that money back home! It would be cheaper to fly overseas than buying tropical fruits in oz! You can kill quite a few birds with one stone.

Its Rustys Market in Cairns Australia. I had to add music over the original audio because KZbin flagged the video with copyright breaches.

Best to watch video with sound low. The market was playing Christmas music which KZbin claimed breached copyright, so i had to change the original audio in order to monetize.
