A tour of Ayden's Japanese Inspired Apartment

Finally got down to shooting a house-tour after moving in for a few months!
Prior to acting, I used to work as a UX product manager so when it came down to the design of the apartment, one of my key requirements was for every design decision to be backed by use cases in my daily life. What you see in this video is the end result of what I find aesthetic yet functional.
Majority of what you see is fully paid for by me but I was also extremely thankful to have amazing brand partners who supported me along the way - that said, every entity/appliance you see in this video was only selected after careful deliberation and comparison - I sincerely hope this video can come in handy for those embarking on a renovation journey and are pursuing a similar concept.

Love how you personalised your home to be aesthetic, practical and cosy! I think my favourite parts are your dining area and balcony/ tea room with natural light streaming in, the marble tables, and powder room with different scents displayed. Nifty work station and "a space for every appliance" really helps keep things neat. Looking forward to your future sharing of how you went about researching and planning your house renovation!

looks great. can't believe you didn't go with a japanese bathroom! The deep tubs, separate showers and separated toilet room. Plus waterproof from ground to ceiling. So bomb. Legit, the happiest part of my japanese trips are bathing in my hotel bathrooms omg

Walk up apartment... i wonder it is those in tanjong katong, joo chiat, balesiter, novena location. I think if you get the 3rd floor of a walk up apt, you probably get a good price. Probably $1000 psf and below.

It’s a very zen look that those who like complicated & superfluous designs won’t appreciate. I choose monochromatic colors & wood in my house as well cos I like simple design that doesn’t distract the eyes. When I go to my bro-in-law’s house, I get a headache seeing all the different colors and shapes of built-in furniture & bling bling. So different strokes for diff folks.

Too many product adverts in this video and corny design lingo picked up from your designer used to part a kid with his money. There is no visual connection from your kitchen to your can. Lol. They simply used a big enough leftover piece from the kitchen and plunked it into your washroom then sold you a story about visual connection. And voila. Here you are regurgitating the story.
