I'm liking the idea of a hostels series... you could make a playlist and it would be a good reference for future hikers.. 😉🏠💚🥾

Thank you for the tour! I seriously just booked a night there and this was a great little preview of what to expect. I will be in Harper's Ferry next week to hike Weaverton Cliffs and Maryland Heights plus explore the area. Wish you were still in the area. ☺️

Curious about measuring long term hiking benefits to body by comparing artery health before and after walking all day for 7 months. We all have some artery plaque measured by neck artery ultrasound, blood pressure difference between bicep and ankle, etc. Suggest Peaks record measurements on her cardiovascular health soon then again when done hiking. Peaks should be good test subject as her stamina increase may be larger than average. Most hikers start with more initial stamina than Peaks yet Peaks has more determination which increases her likelihood of plowing through and completing entire trail.

My body shut down on me in GA. Had to get to road. Trail provided me ride to Neels Gap to do a shake down on my pack. Dropped 25 lbs. Then trail provided me a room at motel in Blairsville with 3 other guys. We all just talked about how inspiring you are and we all hope to meet you somehow. I was up all night in agony pain beyond description. I pushed too hard. I’ve learned. It’s all knees down pain. I am moving around and did laundry here at seasons motel. Going to Cooks Country Kitchen to eat tonight but stuck here to recover then tomorrow afternoon hopefully get back on trail. I had to drop 800 to change up all my gear but I’m very encouraged about the changes. I just don’t have money to throw at my dreams. I’ll be staying on trail and hitting dollar generals rather than enjoying restaurants like others but that’s ok. I’m out here and can’t believe the amazing things I’ve experienced already. It’s been a blast until I pushed myself when my body was saying that’s enough for today and I over rode it. I won’t be doing that again.

I'm so sorry to hear this! Glad you got your pack dialed in. The folks at Mountain Crossings are amazing! Hope to meet you on trail. 🥾♥️

Did no one mention that the AT is over 2,000 miles long? P4P is the AT expert on swallowing pride and hiking her own hike. You could learn a lot. Slow down, youngster.

Prices significantly less than California, on my JMT hike last summer I spent $100 for a hostel in Bishop just for a bunk with 8 other people. It was a nice old Victorian style house right in downtown good location, but nothing special

This hostel is in Knoxville MD. Across the river from Harper's Ferry. I stayed there last month. Great location!
