I know exactly how 'Googie' feels. In Sept 2021 I slipped down the hill while gardeniing (aged 70) and broke my ankle (first broken bone for me too) incapacitated in a wheelchair for weeks and we had literally just signed a contract the day before to sell our property. So my husband had to keep three-quarters of an acre presentable; do all the packing himself, look for a place to rent while looking for a place to buy. Then what did we do? Buy 3 acres with hardly a flat place to walk! No fools like old fools. Enjoyed the video and wish 'Googie' a speedy recovery. 🧡

Googie's giggling and saying hope the three acres are coming on nicely x

@@theflowerfarmer This may add to the giggles; the only way I could access indoors was via indoor staircase (16 steps) on my butt using my elbows to lift me up and onto each step! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Georgie! Your generosity in sharing your vast knowledge about flower farming is profound - I am a new flower farmer (tho gardener for decades)and couldn’t have done it without your top tips and gorgeous videos, so deeply grateful for your generosity and humor, and positivity, but I must say, these tours of your mother’s garden I love best of all, because they bring us all ( by “us” I mean ppl who choose the farmer/florist path!) back to the beginning, the why, the magic..to walk in another person’s garden who is free from the demands of “the farm,” just solely the art and to see why your bouquets and arrangements have all the light and motion and wildness and poetry of entire garden in them…an entire garden in your bouquets! And time too, all the ways of light… I just love these tours/commentary/love of your mother’s garden. Because…it’s the root of the art. And it’s easy to forget that with all the other demands. But you haven’t forgotten. And you share that, too. So grateful, Georgie. Thank you, from north east USA.

Wishing your mum a speedy and full recovery! I had to smile when you mentioned the “plate” at the start. My Mum wasn’t the best patient either, when she was no longer able to do things for herself, and I don’t believe I did ANYTHING exactly the way she wanted it, or would have done it herself!😂 Keep smiling!
