I worked on one for a buddy of mine and couldn’t believe how nice it rode so I went shopping and found one for $200 and the guy said it’s been sitting and needs a lot of work , I’ve been working on it for 2 years because of money but I just got it running like new, had to replace water pump thermostat and now I’m working on the brakes but it will be like new when I’m done, it only has 11,000 miles and what people tell me they go 3-4 thousand miles, the ore I work on this bike the more I like it , the technology is unbelievable, let’s keep these old bikes going

Loving the st1300 and gl1100 videos👍 keep it up. Recently got an st1300 and it's a keeper I think, really comfy with loads of grunt. Looking for a naked gl1100 now that your videos piqued my interest. Bikes in Scotland are rare so it's eBay bikes mostly in England and they are ridiculously expensive!..and I'm cheap too!!! Keep up the great videos loving your comments!😆

Fit new Honda Brake Pads and clean the Discs with Brake Cleaner ,then the Brake performance will improve drastically. the Original Handlebars are perfect for the Steering Geometry and Long Distance Rider comfort. A new Clutch cable will ease the effort required to operate it. The original rear Air shocks are a perfect design and when set on higher pressures make the Bike easy to get on and off the Centre stand. Have had Goldwings for Forty Years.....and truly Believe that Honda knows best...

@@motardsquid I just heard this today, 4 out of 10 Americans are obese. As a kid knowbody was overweight coca cola came in a 8 oz bottle. And you ate dinner at home, not at McDonald's.

I owned a 1981 Honda CB 900 custom it had a five speed transmission with high and low range with drive shaft and it had 85 max on the speedometer but it would do a whole lot more than that so I don’t think they governed bikes to 85 back then but the speedometers only went there I think they also did that with automobiles at the same time Back in the early 80s

You might want to check out the Honda silver wing GL 500 if you like that 81GL 1100

get a speedo off a UK goldwing, they show up to around 120/130 mph. Not a european mainland one as they show kilometers.

Would look sportier without the top box.

don't know if you're familiar with Robot from Scooterwest - he's a master mechanic who works on various scooter brands but mostly Piaggio products (Vespa, Piaggio, Aprilia, etc.). He's known in the Vespa community as the guy who also knows literally EVERYTHING about Vespas old and new. He has hundreds of 'how to' videos on repairs, accessories and mechanical stuff. You might find him very interesting. In this video, he dismantles an engine and displays all the inner workings. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5S2d2upodecj7M
